Not only voice and presence, most singers forget the right impersonation in this particular piece. Although bright and beautiful this is a dark and powerful aria to be sung with fury and anger, or angry as hell.

She is one of those singers, hard to fully capture electronically. I was so fortunate to be in the house for one of these performances (early 90's?), and this aria was a jaw-dropper. Riveting dramatic intensity, and the sound (!) was amazing. Because of her skill/vocal overtones during those staccato passages, it was as if the notes were emanating out of mid-air surrounding her face and shoulders. Never heard anything like it. Trust your ears to imagine this when you listen. Brava, Ms. Serra.
