well it's true that it's one of the hardest Gradius games in a completely unfair difficulty but since you are trying to challenge yourself only on loop 1 that would be enough for a true difficulty when tried on hardest ^_^

konami didn't do any gradius awesome soundtrck after 1988

I hope you listen to Nemesis I , II , III

& Salamander & listen carefully to the great SCC sounds and great composing

Tetraran music is the best theme in Gradius 2 and Gradius V than the original theme on salamander.

Solar Assault is a 3D rail-shooter type Gradius game. Plays very similarly to StarFox and other similar 3D rail-shooters.

lately yes I've saw it and it's called zoradius and as you said it is 3d gradius from a long time ^_^

You're referring to something completely different. Zoradius is a Gradius mini-game found in Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner. Solar Assault was released in 1997 solely for the arcades. It never received a console port. You can play it in MAME, but it works like shit.

have you heard? the gradius 1 boss music is in ALL gradius official series games, also the gradius 2 boss music is from that game until gradius 5.
