Hola Profesor, Solo hablo un poco espanol. Yo soy una estudiante. I have problemos with my accent, to sound more espanol. mas que nada, rolling my r and rr. it never comes out right.
I see that you pronounce the letter C as an S sound. However I was under the impression that in Spain at least it has a T sound. Such as Cinco would be pronounced (Th)inco?
@moh459 Yes, in fact what i said "siéntese" sounds a little bit rude..It's much better what you say now "Por favor tome asiento".It's just perfect. You don't have to thank me at all.
fantastic! I manage familiar restaurant and my staff is Mexican. They pretty much know what they need to do but I have enjoyed learning their language and it has really helped our professional relationship. These videos have been the most helpful I have found.Such practical advice.
THNAK YOU, BUT this is why Americans are so behind in Spanish. They need INTENSIVE SPANISH, not basic. This video is GREAT, but its very basic, which is why its called survival, but unfortunately this DOES NOT CUT IT to get a job. Many jobs wants you to be 100% fluent!!!!!
I am learning about preterito and imperfecto. It is difficult living in Nicaragua because few people speak English. I love the Spanish language but it is very frustrating at times!
Prepare a lesson just for me? I wouldn't know where to start. I live in Arizona (just moved here) & although I do not live around a lot of Mexicans, I want to learn words in their language, so that I can speak to them with some spanish words & this way they know I'm making the effort to learn their langauge.
im 14 years old, tengo cuatrosce años..and i've learned alot from ur lessons, i speak it to my spanish friends and they understand, TYYY!!!!(i think i spelt 14 wrong)
I really appreciate the kindness in your voice when teaching us. It makes it a lot easier and natural to learn. There is no humiliation at all. I am 32 years old and am just beginning my very first spanish class. So thank you very much for all your help :) Buenas tardes :)
Congrats my friend. Im 27 years and I'm learning spanish myself. Maybe we can help each other. I love the language and the people. He's voice is kind and helpful.
Hola, trabajo como profesora voluntaria de espaniol en una escuela y tus videos me resultan invaluables, muchisimas gracias por compartir lo que sabes
Hola, I am a native Spanish speaker and I wanted to tell you that your Spanish is great. Tienes un muy buen acento y hablas con perfecta claridad. Thank you for posting this video. I want to be a Spanish teacher myself. Diana
I agree even though he may not speak the language with a dead on spanish accent so what he is american and he trying to help others and many people do not apreciate that, americans don't Critisize spanish speakers when they can say rope, rat, rug or any word that they cannot pronounce because we know english is not your orginal language
Instead of fixing pro. Jason pronounciation and spelling, spend some time to post your own spanish lessons videos than say it is better to say that. It is always easy to criticize but its more difficult to bring something better. go ahead Professor you are doing a very good job.
where is the origin of spanish, latin america that adapted spanish or spain that spread spanish all over south america? comon guys stop saying that white guys don't speak spanish, because the real spanish people are whites. ahahaahaha
I am a Black American and my native language is English and i started learning spanish when i was 15 and i am still 15 soon to be 16 and i can speak basic fluent spanish probaly not liek a native for the fact i just started but i can do basic communications such as time, dates, numbers, days of the weeks and alot of verbs
repita, sounds more like an order, to me : 'repita', por favor !(in most latin countries) .-'repeat' ,please!(like coming from a teacher)..however ,puede 'repetirlo' ,por favor! ,sounds more kind/charm/good manners..well you'll get the idea !.-can you 'repeat' that please!,.. bare in mind that spanish words sometimes have different..'meaning' in relation to the 'context' of situations or what is being say before the 'word' ..(geez!)

JonTheWhiteBoy 4 years ago
repita, sounds more like an order, to me : 'repita', por favor !(in most latin countries) .-'repeat' ,please!(like coming from a teacher)..however ,puede 'repetirlo' ,por favor! ,sounds more kind/charm/good manners..well you'll get the idea !.-can you 'repeat' that please!,.. bare in mind that spanish words sometimes have different..'meaning' in relation to the 'context' of situations or what is being say before the 'word' ..(geez!)
AQUARIO07 3 years ago 2
Literally, repetirlo = to repeat IT, and repita = direct formal command "repeat!"
however, "Repeat it," (as a command), would be Repitalo (polite) or Repitelo (informal).
