RIP Chick! Gone at 64 last month. my 10 yr older brother turned me on to this vinyl as a teenager in the 70s. in 79 I aquired, what i think is a master of it. there are horns throughout the album, with tuning and talking between tracks. Blues Power has always been one of my favorites from it. I believe they must've edited out the horns for release.
@wjhof58 Hey wjhof58, really interesting stuff! Could you make a mp3-, WMA-, or similar formar file of it and post it here on YouTube? Would be real cool to hear the song with the original horns.
@tonybloch Thanks for correcting me, it actually was Delaney, now that I double-checked it. However, it was Leon who gave Eric the opening line to "Bluespower" and that's how the song originated. Leon said to Clapton "People only know you're a blues musician, but people don't know you can play rock&roll too".
@duckman486fry -Im not sure what you mean about skip?..I dont hear it.Ive been recording for over over 30 years.I think I could hear that.I also have the CD issue..
super cool

That's not a skip: That's a bad punch by me. One of my favorite mistakes: we liked it and left it in.

it wasn't Leon that told Eric about his gift, it was Delaney. Don't make up stuff ! Eric made this song for Delaney

All according to Clapton's selfbiography.

Clapton's first solo album said so much about the person the musician, the blueprint for who this man is. One of my favorites.
