Now with regards to the War Between the States, it had nothing to do with race or slavery any ways, it was a war that dealt with State's rights, and the only reason that slavery was brought into the picture was to keep the French from joining the war on the side of the Confederate States of America. Many people are misinformed about the South and slavery, forgetting that the North had slaves also, plus black people had their own black slaves in many cases, and there were white slaves also.

Where is there anything racist in this song? There is not, and if you knew Kevin Fowler in person, you would realize he is far from what people think of as racist. Then, again, racism is a made up though process created by the Western world, because skin colour has nothing to do with a person's race. With regards to what most people call the Rebel Flag was not even the flag of the Confederacy, but was the Naval Battle Flag for the Confederacy and that is all.
