In the movie why did they change Aangs tattoo's? Ive never seen the movie. my cuz told me it sucked. I heard some of the names were pronounced wrong. How could they do that???
When I watched this episode for the first time, the movie hadn't come out yet, I got the feeling that this was the creators' message to the audience that they had a hunch that the movie wouldn't be that great, and so they played around with that as the Avatar play showed us.
Nice work putting some of the film in with the animation.
I hope that they never ever try to make a movie ever again. The first season is twenty episodes, and you just can't fit that much material into an hour and a half movie. It just wasn't meant to be made into a life action film.

The effects were decent, but nothing else was. All it would have taken was for Sokka to eat one piece of meat to make the movie good; as if to say "Mm, that's good ham" in Shatner fashion. But, by making Aang and Sokka serious all the time, they robbed the characters of their identity and soul.
that was shyamalan's problem he was so interested in cpaturing the story he butchered the characters what he needed to d o was hange the story up a bit while keeping the characters personality traits intact just keep the characters basic history you can cnage everything else fans won't get pissed as long as its good
@Semp314 what he should have done, in my opinion, was keep it like the show. that's what you see a movie like that for, live-action incarnations of the characters we love. look at the turtles movies. when they made the third one stray and screwed over the characters, it sucked. but the first two are awesome.
I think Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer) would be an awesome candidate to direct a remake. He always has a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor in his films, which goes hand-in-hand with Avatar (the cabbage man is SO Stephen Chow), but he also is great at developing characters and creating emotional connections with the audience. Also, if you look at the fight scenes in his films, they are top-notch Hong Kong caliber and also incorporate creative humor like the animated series!
Have you seen CJ7? It's by Stephen Chow too and parodies some scenes from Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.
Kung Fu Hustle is one of my favorites by him (I loved the mix of comedy, action, and gradual emotional character development in it). I agree completely; Stephen Chow would be awesome to do Avatar if he wanted to. I wonder if he likes the cartoon series. :)

My dad rented the movie and I saw the bloopers and got really upset. How the actors acted in the gag reel should have been how they acted in the movie! If any of ya'll get the chance, watch the movie Bloopers

Oh..more bitter irony for Shyamalan. Aang shouldn't have used energybending on Firelord Ozai....he should have used The Last Failbender. Seeing this movie would make him never firebend, that's for sure.

ok, change all of the actors from asian to caucasian and indian? fine. Change the time limit on which aang has to learn all the elements? fine. you gotta do what you gotta do. we get that you can't make three movies before the summer solstice. change the part in the beginning when they found Aang(sorry, ONG)? fine. we all know what happened anyway. But when you take Sokka's sarcasm, you cross the line man! And then m. night shamalamaaa insults him by changing his name to SOWKA?!? UN-Believeable!

they should do the same thing that they did with batman- after the one with Arnold Shwarzenheiger as Mr. Freeze was horrible, they simply re-booted the movie series. Who says that no one can make a better movie about Avatar?

this movie was fail on so many levels the names weren't right the story was off by a country mile and the effects sucked the biggest fail were the fire benders having to have outside sources for fire bending so stupid the only way to describe this movie was epic fail

The effects were decent, but nothing else was. All it would have taken was for Sokka to eat one piece of meat to make the movie good; as if to say "Mm, that's good ham" in Shatner fashion. But, by making Aang and Sokka serious all the time, they robbed the characters of their identity and soul.

that was shyamalan's problem he was so interested in cpaturing the story he butchered the characters what he needed to d o was hange the story up a bit while keeping the characters personality traits intact just keep the characters basic history you can cnage everything else fans won't get pissed as long as its good

@Semp314 what he should have done, in my opinion, was keep it like the show. that's what you see a movie like that for, live-action incarnations of the characters we love. look at the turtles movies. when they made the third one stray and screwed over the characters, it sucked. but the first two are awesome.

I think Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer) would be an awesome candidate to direct a remake. He always has a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor in his films, which goes hand-in-hand with Avatar (the cabbage man is SO Stephen Chow), but he also is great at developing characters and creating emotional connections with the audience. Also, if you look at the fight scenes in his films, they are top-notch Hong Kong caliber and also incorporate creative humor like the animated series!

Have you seen CJ7? It's by Stephen Chow too and parodies some scenes from Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.
Kung Fu Hustle is one of my favorites by him (I loved the mix of comedy, action, and gradual emotional character development in it). I agree completely; Stephen Chow would be awesome to do Avatar if he wanted to. I wonder if he likes the cartoon series. :)

ROFL I always love zuko's face. Anyways I didn't like the movie most because everything was oppisite!! Iroh is not skinny!! Why would they ruin Iroh! And lets not get started on Zuko and Aang!!!
