When I first heard this song, my dad told me about the movie "The Wall" and how it's the best movie ever because of the story and gave me a description of his Pink Floyd concert experience. I really liked that talk. I think he's getting kind of old, 'cause he tells me that same story every time we hear it. For those who think this is not a great solo, apparently you do not play guitar. I play lots of floyd and gilmour stuff and this is not easy. Getting the rakes,bends, hammer ons and pull offs just right is not easy at all. that is what makes gilmour so great is his complexity of his solos. So dont just compare ease of solos by time and how much u think is being done. there is alot more to it.

I play bass, and it's true that all the attention goes to the lead guitar in nowadays bands. That's why I love older bands like The Who, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, etc. because they're really fun to play.
