its tomb raider anniversary darkdevil49 i have it i have legand for my nintendo the totally different. The only new thing in leand is the grapple but its much better in anniversary. is there a t-rex in cause my friend has it on play station and hers does but i haven't come across one yet.
I love this game sooo! It's the gameplay of all Tomb Raiders in one, the sound of an wonderful orchestred theme and the grafic of the real life! 5* Lara rulez!
I really disliked the continuous hagh hagh. It drove me crazy when I was playing the old games. I'd prefer Lara to have more natural and less frequent grunts and so on, as in Legend.
When I put this video up, it was the only footage of the then 'upcoming' TR game. It had no audio, so I dubbed it with legend SFX to give people a better idea of what the game with audio would be like.
u didn't dub this.... because if you did it wouldn't have the same wind sounds in the back as the game... otherwise you are good at guessing... soooo u did not dub it >:D
what an awsome game this is, i dunt really like the killing as much as the climbing and jumping around and puzzle solving, still its one ownage game 5/5
And finally... the last level in the game, there are no rolling boulders and spiked pits as remembered in TR1's final level. One of the old water puzzles from the former Atlantis levels makes an appearance here, but the game ends after your battle with Natla. There is no final escape from the room; it happens via cinematic sequence :(
I wholeheartedly agree with you too, I was severely disappointed wit h the sheer amount cut out of the original. The final two levels were horrifically butchered!

Yes tr is my 2nd fave game ever after FF7 and just above Ocarina Of Time. I loved the first 3 like they were my games and know every puzzle of by heart :) and i especially loved 3 aswel. They were tighter, slower with more emphasis on exploration and the only people who complained of it being sluggish and bumping into walls and falling were the crap people who hadn't mastered the game. After an hour or so i was totally used to the old controls and was never at all bothered by it.
you are so right. the old way of making the levels as well. sure they are a little blocky but you can go everywhere you can reach and the whole world acts the same. the old controls were better. at least there is a huge online community churning out fangames made with TRLE. im two levels into my first downloaded game and it is already longer and better than legend. if only an updated version of the level editor was released with the great gameplay of old and the new graphics.

Natlas mines another gr8 level has been SHORTENED and SIMPLIFIED, Most of the rooms and puzzles are simply gone and replaced with timed switches for scaling walls and climbing with your grappling hook. In TR1, this level was a collection of more than a dozen room-to-room puzzles with boulders, moveable blocks, spiked pits and swimming :(
continuing on... The Cistern level has been merged with Tomb of Tihocan. The only aspect of TR1's Tomb of Tihocan that remains is the tomb with Pierre inside. There are no rusty keys to find and no long passageways to explore underwater. The main area is one large room, and the levers to raise and lower the water are out in the open, again simplified from TR1's hidden switches. The final passage takes you right to the tomb, bypassing the entire area that was the Tomb of Tihocan :(
Continuing from where i left off, One of the best levels of all time PALACE MIDAS has been MASSIVELY SHORTENED. Removed is the 'Five Switches' area that opened doors based on a pattern of symbols. Midas is now in the middle of the palace instead of secluded in a hidden room, and you no longer traverse the upper perimeter on rooftops and columns to find one of the lead bars
the original is still better. They have shortened the levels and reduced the size. The Colosseum has been massively shortened with no climbing the outer area of the Colosseum at the start to get in and no Alligator shimmey, All the timed door puzzles have been removed, also gone are the corner room puzzles and the spiked pits are gone aswel which makes it possible to finish the level in 10 minutes :(
omfgg! im a big LC fan but this is NOT right at all, didnt edios say they were going to take TR back to its roots? well they seem to have made a spider man movie with LC as the character!
think ill stick to the good old TR games (1,2,3,4,5) :)

Very realistic. I kinda hope the new game has checkpoints. Anyone else agree? I hated having to go all the way back in games 2-6 (my computer won't play the first) because I forgot to save my game.

Yes, there's a T-Rex in Anniversary as there was in TR1.
It looks more like a giant alligator though, it's compulsory to kill it, and it's bookended by QTE's.

When I bought a tomb raider game (legend)
i got a paper that said: Tomb raider anniversary May 2007
and I live in belgium... . The man from the shop said he was getting the game in May aswell so I don't know where June comes from... .
