The Boss is probably Mickey's father. During Mickey's childhood he abandoned him to work on video games. In the end, Mickey ended up on the street. He blamed video games for everything. However, his father somehow found out where he was and brought him to VGV, wishing to make it up to him for all the years he spent on the streets. But seeing as Mickey didnt want to stay he put the bomb on him. That is why the Boss ignores the spit and aggression from Mickey. They also have same eyes.
