For ppl that don't understand Music, they draw on the thing closest to them that they can relate it to. But Seriously, a Gameboy playing Tetris? Who is this Idiot? Oh! A Music Journalist. Yeh, it's no wonder we have nothing but trope out now if they are our Guides.
Tina Turner's Goldeneye is a Classic Title Hands Down! That Plucked Riff at the Start .. Dar Dum Dum Dum! Brilliant! Once again, John Barry is thrown in with Chavs of the 80's who think it's Cool to be complete C*#ts. Good song tho!
A VIEW TO A KILL is my fav Bond song.....you hear it and you feel like you are a Bond girl lol!!! Amazing tune, so powerful and it sounds like Bond is shooting people all the time haha. But all the 80s Bond songs are good!!!! A-ha.....Gladys Knight and Duran Duran - best decade of music :)
Thank you for saving that tank chase Mr. John Altman. I agree with the previous poster that a lot of Serra's clanking metallic, industrial sounds for the Soviet atmosphere of the film work really well - the gunfight in the archives for example - but there's a lot of terrible music in there too.
Eric Serra's score is really hit and miss i find. Lots of the ambient tracks (the opening scene comes to mind on the dam) are some of the most original and brilliant sounding stuff ive ever heard in a bond film. But geez that car chase and when bond meets onnatop in the sauna sound absolutely crap!
@madcapoperator I agree very much. When I first bought the soundtrack on CD, I thought I was going to bring it back. I wasn't to fond of it and it did eventually grow on me. I do like Eric Serra, but as far as "Goldeneye" goes it was a hit or miss score.
I am a "Durani", as they say, and I think the guys did a good job on the whole, but it is not one of their best songs. - JGL

I've heard all the Bond soundtracks and Eric Serras has to be the worst of them all.

@Russell230870 well I fine it's one of the best. There are a few really bad ones tho.
