@DubstepPromoter They were not responsible for starting electronic but were of course some of it´s early pioneers. See i´ve been promoting things since 1990 and am well aware of history and origins. My point was merely that if you were aware of the history of the Amen break then you wouldn´t be surprised by the impact on today´s music. Just don´t chuck out your rattle son. I of course will now expect some juvenile response
@mektip I don't claim to know all the major history of electronic music, as I am merely half your age. Fair play to you for promoting since 1990 and Ill commend you on that, It was a lot harder to get artists names out then. I promote what tracks I like and I made that comment over 8 months ago and people seemed to agree. Thanks for commenting and reminding me of this track :)
@philquinton Maybe when you're old enough you should try going to a jungle night and hearing this on a fat sound system. In the meantime, keep listening to Dub Step and leave the real music to the big boys
@rossebadboy Amen breaks breaks innnniiiiit hahahhaha so fucking what AND (i forgot it sounds good and you have mentioned this loop sample about 30 times) ..what else?
@philquinton Mate there is no 'what else'! That's like asking a stoner to give a bunch of reasons why kfc really hits the spot when you got the muchies. It's just finger lickin' good, innit. In the same way, if you're a raver then listening to tunes like this just hit the spot, like 11 herbs and spices of musical perfection. I guess you need to stick with what you know - JLS and Cheryl Cole
@philquinton oi dale winton your a mug!hahah i feel sorry for u u cant feel the raw jungle beats goin thru ya you are a tru cunt to go on this just to complain hey hop u have sum bad karma and please dont forget to fuck yourself ;)
@Nanachchbaubau can you explain to me the difference, and if you know of any good artist in DnB/ Jungle
i search all the time, i prefer the real(concentrated) beats like this one instead of the newer more random sounds with the mainstream types
hearing music likes this makes me wish i was born around the time to acutally enjoy it and go to concerts for it, nowadays kids at my skool look at me like im crazy cuz they never heard of such musical genius, makes me wonder why i couldn't be born then
@dj11sk8 Mate, jungle tunes are built around the 'Amen' break, which has a distinctive sound and was used in the hardcore (now called Old Skool) tracks that Jungle grew out of. Jungle tunes tend to have a lot of variety in the drum patterns, with lots of cuts and layers of beats. They also often have the really deep sub bass. Later tunes also had lots of ragga samples, although the really early tunes didn't. Drum and bass evolved form Jungle and tends to be quite a bit faster in terms of BPM.
Drum And Bass Evolved From Jungle, but Jungle stays alive today in the same Quality and Technology of DnB,With Even More Fast Tempos and Distorted Amen Breaks. Search for The Current North American Producers if you want to know about this.
@eduds6 No offence, but listening to north american jungle tunes would be like smoking a cigar made in china rather than cuba. I'm sure they know how to make an ok tune, but it's not gonna be like the real thing. I've bought a fair amount of new-ish jungle tracks on vinyl and if you ask me, they're too polished and well-produced and because of that they lack something when you compare them to tunes from back in the day.
Yeah,i had never told that North American Jungle was better than The Original UK Stuff. Just gave you my Suggestion. Sorry If i Offended Or Harrassed you,It Was not my exactly intention.
@dj11sk8 ...It also doesn't tend to use the Amen break and has a lot less variety in drum patterns. There's more variety in the bass sounds though. Good D&B DJ's in my opinion USED to be the likes of Zinc, Friction and Hazard (altho TBH I think DnB is sh1t now ). Good Jungle DJ's are people like Nicky Blackmarket, Shy FX, Randal and Kenny Ken to name but a few
I used to run around town off my tits with backpacks full of spray cans, bombing everything with this tune cranked loud in my headphones. Shit was hype!
"The fun in life...." oh the irony! Who else expects a bit of those bottles and the old "31 seconds" after that sample. To the kids, you must play origin unknown - valley of the shadows after this record.
