And yes the wii has better motion stuff because it has time. But you haven't given kinect time. Just give it a try
To those who think the move is a wii copy. It's not a wii copy. Also sony did have the playstion eye before microsoft's kinect. So nintendo and microsoft took sony's ideas and tried to improve on them. Sony have always been ahead of their competition. The PS3 is way beyond the 360 and wii, technology wise.

Move is a combination of the Wii and PS Eye. All the company's play off of and learn from each other, that's just what happens. I wouldn't say anyone is "copying" anyone else. All business. The Playstation eye is a regular 'webcam' it's a 2D Camera.....Where as Kinect is a 3D Depth Motion Tracker.....To somebody like you, you probably don't know the difference, but if you've ever gotten your masters in Computer Engineering, you'd know that there's quite a difference when software developers try to create games for it. But anyways, the PS Move bears more resemblence to the Wiimote than Kinect and the PS Eye.

Move is marketing toward the hardcore gamers...right there is a fail in itself. Hardcore gamers don't want to move around or want motion controls. They want a good o controller and a couch. true. motion control seems to be for people that don't like video games. people that are confounded by concepts such as buttons and joystick-character coordination. they just want to waive a stick at the screen and have it do something. It is amazing to me how many of my friends are like this. people like this aren't interested in spending lots of $ on a system. that being said wii does also have a handful of epic titles that make it desirable for hardcore gamers.

I need to know why PS Move failed, I used a demonstration and i played the Move sports and it was amazing, i dont understand why not to buy the playstation 3 move because not only do you get PS Move but you also get the most up to date version of the PS3 (320 GB even if its not nesesary) and when i tried the sword duel on the PS3 move sport and the i knocked my opponent on the floor and i was think of the wii and i though i can't hit him the controller wont track it, but it did
@lassilipstick No. Anybody with eyes who watched E3 2010 this year knows that Microsoft sucked at E3 in showcasing the Kinect. And Sony is not considering that nobody's going to want a more expensive version of a Wii, and most PS3 owners won't want it (or else, they would've just bought a Wii with WiiMotion Plus). And they're both a bit too late.
And no contest, Nintendo won this E3, and the NIntendo 3DS kicked butts and took names. Even a lot of Microsoft and Sony fanboys had to admit.

I'm no Xbox fan (it's PS and Nintendo for me, they have the strongest action/adventure/platformer library) but there's no way Kinect will fail. Microsoft has SERIOUS advertising money behind it, and the campaigning for it is aggressive. Kinect will sell like hotcakes.

@SuperGamer87 that's true but still, if the Oprah giveaway is any indication, it's not for the hardcore gamers (whereas Sony is positioning Move as also being for hardcore gamers with move support for Heavy Rain, Killzone, Sly Cooper Collection). Move won't move a whole lot of units because Sony isn't aggressively pushing it. But Kinect is second most wanted this christmas behind an ipad (yeah, I know, ipad. bleh)
Pretty much. I honestly cannot think of a good Move game releasing this year and the two most recent (The Shoot and Time Crisis) apparently aren't even that good. The first rail shooter Wii even got (which I believe was Ghost Squad) turned out a lot better in the control department.

Totally agree with you on this one. Microsoft and Sony have come in way too late. The good thing is that if people have money to spare, they can still have some fun with it. @bcta302 The week Sports Champions launched in Europe, Halo Reach was the best selling game. At #2 Sports Champions and at #3 and #4 were Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.....
In Europe over the span of 3 days Sports Champions sold 80k copies. (Halo Reach sold over 900k that week btw).
By comparison on its first day out in Europe Resort sold 360k copies.
In America the week Sports Champions launched 70k copies were sold.

As much as you want Move to fail, It's selling really well so far. I played it and it was really fun, precise and addicting. Way more than the Wii can, especially when you have 2 move controllers. I was going to hold off on Move until some more games came out for it but after trying it out I have to get the sports champions bundle ASAP.

It's really not cheaper. When you buy a Wii, you get everything in the package for $200. When you buy a PS3 even the base model at $300 you still gotta shell out for a PSEye and a Move controller and a compatible game. Even if you bought one of the bundles that has everything in the box you're still paying more than the Wii by almost (if not over) $200.
In what universe is that cheaper than Wii? Heck, the Wii option gets even less expensive with Wii Remote Plus.

...to which I responded that the PS3 setup with Move is not cheaper than Wii. Even if you take the navigation controller out the equation the Wii setup is still less expensive by quite a bit.
@LordAngeluz PS Move is gay on principle alone. Hardcore gamers just won't buy it. And Sony's NEVER brought anything original to gaming since the first conception of the PlayStation. In fact, they wouldn't even be in business if it weren't for Nintendo rejecting their PlayStation prototype as their next Nintendo 64. Sony had the PS1 prototype originally for Nintendo, and decided to sell it as the "PlayStation." They've been copying from and taking ideas from Nintendo ever since.

(hardcore) Sony gives u the option while inviting you to try it and when u try it I believe most will be hooked because of the technology behind it. Now on the other hand Kinect has a big potential to fail if E3 was the trojan horse for them.

Personally I believe that PS Move is pretty much a glorified Wii
But the kinect is the most innovative thing out there on namely that it does almost everything that it boast (Side note: Yes I'm a Micro Fan)
Granted it does have problems and not many games for it
But I agree that there isn't much of a future in motion game play but I believe that the current generation has much live in it left
Granted again that the future is in download games
And the non gamer market is probably going to move on

true. motion control seems to be for people that don't like video games. people that are confounded by concepts such as buttons and joystick-character coordination. they just want to waive a stick at the screen and have it do something. It is amazing to me how many of my friends are like this. people like this aren't interested in spending lots of $ on a system. that being said wii does also have a handful of epic titles that make it desirable for hardcore gamers.

PEOPLE LISTEN UP! I need to know why PS Move failed, I used a demonstration and i played the Move sports and it was amazing, i dont understand why not to buy the playstation 3 move because not only do you get PS Move but you also get the most up to date version of the PS3 (320 GB even if its not nesesary) and when i tried the sword duel on the PS3 move sport and the i knocked my opponent on the floor and i was think of the wii and i though i can't hit him the controller wont track it, but it did

@lassilipstick No. Anybody with eyes who watched E3 2010 this year knows that Microsoft sucked at E3 in showcasing the Kinect. And Sony is not considering that nobody's going to want a more expensive version of a Wii, and most PS3 owners won't want it (or else, they would've just bought a Wii with WiiMotion Plus). And they're both a bit too late.
And no contest, Nintendo won this E3, and the NIntendo 3DS kicked butts and took names. Even a lot of Microsoft and Sony fanboys had to admit.

I'm no Xbox fan (it's PS and Nintendo for me, they have the strongest action/adventure/platformer library) but there's no way Kinect will fail. Microsoft has SERIOUS advertising money behind it, and the campaigning for it is aggressive. Kinect will sell like hotcakes.

No way in the world are we going to play a game like COD:BO for four hours straight PRETENDING to hold guns! And it doesn't matter how much ad money a company puts into a product that makes it sell. It only matters who will buy it. Hardcore gamers simply won't dish out the cash for a trivial experience. Only little sisters and grandmas would buy it.

@SuperGamer87 that's true but still, if the Oprah giveaway is any indication, it's not for the hardcore gamers (whereas Sony is positioning Move as also being for hardcore gamers with move support for Heavy Rain, Killzone, Sly Cooper Collection). Move won't move a whole lot of units because Sony isn't aggressively pushing it. But Kinect is second most wanted this christmas behind an ipad (yeah, I know, ipad. bleh)

Pretty much. I honestly cannot think of a good Move game releasing this year and the two most recent (The Shoot and Time Crisis) apparently aren't even that good. The first rail shooter Wii even got (which I believe was Ghost Squad) turned out a lot better in the control department.
So much for Move being more accurate.

How ironic that the same people who laughed at Nintendo for implementing motion controls ("I mean... seriously???") are lining up for the knockoffs four years later. The motion control isn't the reason Nintendo is dominant in the current generation of the console wars... its bc they aren't even a PART of the console wars. They build simple games economically that despite being graphically weaker, have excellent GAMEPLAY. When will these "hardcore" gamers figure out what we've known since '85?

Totally agree with you on this one. Microsoft and Sony have come in way too late. The good thing is that if people have money to spare, they can still have some fun with it. But as for it being huge...doubt it. Plus there are the rumors that Nintendo is redesigning the Wii controller anyway. So yeah...

@bcta302 The week Sports Champions launched in Europe, Halo Reach was the best selling game. At #2 Sports Champions and at #3 and #4 were Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.....
In Europe over the span of 3 days Sports Champions sold 80k copies. (Halo Reach sold over 900k that week btw).
By comparison on its first day out in Europe Resort sold 360k copies.
In America the week Sports Champions launched 70k copies were sold.
That same week Wii Sports Resort sold 65k copies.

In 1 week over 900k copies of Wii Sports Resort w/motion plus were sold in America and Europe.
Obviously Resort has had legs as well considering it's still in the top 10 list in America. In fact, in the last weekly charts shows Wii Sports Resort sold 65k copies in America. By comparison Sports Champions sold 26k.
A Wii success it is not. Move has had marginal success at best.

As much as you want Move to fail, It's selling really well so far. I played it and it was really fun, precise and addicting. Way more than the Wii can, especially when you have 2 move controllers. I was going to hold off on Move until some more games came out for it but after trying it out I have to get the sports champions bundle ASAP.

It's really not cheaper. When you buy a Wii, you get everything in the package for $200. When you buy a PS3 even the base model at $300 you still gotta shell out for a PSEye and a Move controller and a compatible game. Even if you bought one of the bundles that has everything in the box you're still paying more than the Wii by almost (if not over) $200.
In what universe is that cheaper than Wii? Heck, the Wii option gets even less expensive with Wii Remote Plus.

...to which I responded that the PS3 setup with Move is not cheaper than Wii. Even if you take the navigation controller out the equation the Wii setup is still less expensive by quite a bit.

@LordAngeluz PS Move is gay on principle alone. Hardcore gamers just won't buy it. And Sony's NEVER brought anything original to gaming since the first conception of the PlayStation. In fact, they wouldn't even be in business if it weren't for Nintendo rejecting their PlayStation prototype as their next Nintendo 64. Sony had the PS1 prototype originally for Nintendo, and decided to sell it as the "PlayStation." They've been copying from and taking ideas from Nintendo ever since.

Actually I hate to agree/disagree lol j/k trying to sound like you haha...Anyways, seriously I cant agree about the PS Move it the reason why it will succeed is because of the fact there is an option because most people don't like motion controls. (hardcore) Sony gives u the option while inviting you to try it and when u try it I believe most will be hooked because of the technology behind it. Now on the other hand Kinect has a big potential to fail if E3 was the trojan horse for them.

I'm not really into this sort of thing, I mean I think it would be neat to try them out and all, but I think I would get way too frustrated and there's no way I'd spend the money for Kinect or Move...so I've pretty much just ignored them both.
With me not knowing pretty much anything about either of them, I have to say...you're pretty smart. I absolutely hate airheaded girls (they're giving us a bad name) so it's nice to find a girl that's actually smart and liked.

your prediction is flawed, even though I hate motion, Sony did it with eyetoy which was out before the Wii mote, it has more accuracy because of that, they use the tech from eye toy and use it in their move device.
they have way more experience, also I keep reading move is sold out mostly everywhere, I understand this is a old video you have poor judgment.
kinect will fail bad, try it with out something in your hand, I am sure you will focus more on what you are doing then having fun on games

Kinect has no possibiliity for Hardcore games, so it will never be implemented..
Playstation Move has the better potential for shooters and RPG RTS!..
