  • Actually hey where are you? Canada? You want to sell it?

  • @mrwho1923 I'm in Miami fl my dad recently took out the engine to bore and stroke it to a 2.2 I think

  • How could I make something like that in the US so it's emissions legal? If I take another turbo diesel engine out of a newer vehicle and put it in a newer 4runner would that work? New factory diesel engines in the US that meet emissions standards would work right? How much wiggle room does one have to work with when doing custom engine swaps?

  • You're bullshitting me, 30 - 35 mpg? Holy crap!

  • NICE. i wanna do this to my 4runner :) its slow as fuck! but i love it

  • Is this a inline 4 cylinder TOYOTA engine?

  • I guess this car is already sold, correct?

  • all i hate about 4runner it eat too much gas the car won't even last me a week

  • wrere can i find a diesel engine guy for 4runner.

  • i have a 1990 with a 3vze and this looks like a good idea how much did this cost to do and what are the changes?

  • this...... is beautiful

  • thats bloody cool. im running standard 1c in my corolla. whats the advantage of running the 2c head on it? and does the 2c headers fit on the 1c?

  • Just needs a solid front axle conversion with front and rear ARB's and you'd have the perfect 4 runner. Nice job btw!

  • where can i find a motor like that for my dad's 95 4runner?

  • I got it on eBay

  • hey i have a 94 4runner also do i need to change the tranny also

  • hey i have a 94 4runner i want to put a diesel engine in it do i need to swap the tranny also

  • Ill ask my dad but I think he wants something around 10 grand for it.

  • What will you be asking for it?

  • Any interest in building me one?

  • Its gonna be on ebay soon, i will let you know if your interested.

  • Yup like Dauntless244 mentioned you should move the pod filter into an enclosed box, preferably in the wheel well (behind front bumper) so it will inhale fresh, cold(er) air instead of engine bay air. You'll definitely notice a difference. Plus you should always include an intercooler when you install a turbo - too much heat always leads to big problems.

Oh and yeah your 4runner fucking rocks - can't wait to get one myself (stupid school not allowing me to work as much).

  • Nice hot air intake.... lol

  • lol, man its a diesel you cant really avoid the heat, somewere along the line the airs gonna heat up, intercooler would be nice tho, but the trucks finished. itll go on the next project. =P

  • Of course you can. Move the filter forwards and to the outside a bit, put a round airbox over it, and then fit a snorkel to that. This, with a decent intercooler (air to air will be fine) and you'll get a massive improvement, most likely just as much again as slapping the turbo on there gave you.

  • wtf...are you in the united states?

  • Yes, Miami Florida to be exact.

  • I will consider that man, thx for the advice, right now im rebuilding the engine and putting on a 2CT head.
