  • sorry, not sure i understand why you are using the caulking instead of spackle or compound. Thanks for the vid!

  • @noaa2337 The reason why I am using caulking instead of spackle or compound is because I am showing you how to patch the ceiling area without having to prime &/or paint the patch. If you use spackle or compound, you would need to apply primer & paint to the repair area. With the caulking, I do not have to prime or paint the patch/repair area as the white caulking will blend into the ceiling area especially for the fact that the repair area is partially hidden under the light fixture.
