Guys, it doesnt matter what style you are in, on the street its all about your mind, if you know how to fight and you can calm down yourself you can kick ass, i do kempo for eight years and i had to deal with some guy on the street too, i kicked the shit out of them. And @xXxSno0pDogGxXx you would be knocked down, you cant just go inside his range and use your hands without anything, his leg would be faster, and longer, if you would go in his range he would kick you and go further.
@stanhirt exactly, finally an smart comment, a kick boxer have many advantages, why? most capoeirsts only use their legs, while experiment kickboxers use arms and legs, if i would have been that kickboxer i would have used boxing techniques, that guy would have gotten knocked out in the first round or two.

Because it's either one of two things: either they're not allowed to put all their force behind their blows, or these 2 have no concept of follow-through.

Ya know what, i'm surprised nobody actually uses this in the first place! Muay Thai is great "powerhouse" and all. But since everyone is dick riding ground fighting and "Tapouts" all the time, they really don't see the idea that capoeira is a fighting style which AC-TU-ALL-Y has moves that can be transmitted into jujitsu fighting. It's like one of those disputes that wont get solved or accepted over ignorance leading to stupidity!
I did, just for fun. He's a teacher in capoeira, I'm a second year in kickboxing. We ended up in me punching the guy around and he barely able to do anything, despite of it being sparring.

Especially when the fighter is very technical, which is what a fighter should be, using what he learned to overcome an opponent in any circumstance. Out of experience, i am more careful when going to my Capoeira training then Muay Thai..

@theprinceofspain no you are wrong, a white belt in bjj can tap a black belt in any martial art out, tkd doesnt allow for blockin of the head with hand or punching, they run at eachother kicking with hands down, kung fu is impractical but what do you expect from a group that does everythin in it power not to fight, capoeria has one knockout and the fighter who lost stood there to take the kick, its the style as well as the practioneer.

thats was a poor example of capoeira he was slow didnt have timing man. i do capoeira n i no my timing its a misleading fighting style it really does confuse the other opponet because we are unorthadox .
I agree, though capoeira needs a ground game, unorthodox kicks are great with great sweeping but in mma they need to have some ground and pound in as well. They have great speed which can help a lot which great standing counters to screw with kickbokers and muai tai
I don't know was it one guy or three but in two of the three fights Capoeira was used fucking well. But you have to be careful with slow misleading kicks in the air. If you do it to a grappler then you'r fucked up. And Meia Lua de frente is not for fighting. But this was what Capoeira is about. It's one of the best fights I've seen
I can use Meia Lua de Frente in a fight, you just have to train like fighter, not just as Capoeirista. I use it for set ups but the attack is like a side bencao between the hands. I will post a video soon.
I'm training as a fighter don't wory. I ment that Meia Lua de Frente is a powerless kick. It's not enough to a knock out or to crack a normal human rib. I would use Martello instead. Thats a fuckin powerful kick.
You can use it if it's suitable for you, I just don't like it, becouse it's not enough poverful for a KO and maybe dangerous for the knee, and I think it's easy to avoid it.
not the truth necessarily...i have seen instances where capoeira was used successfully in the context of an mma fight...in my opinion, it's all about the bruce lee theory: whatever works in a fight you use, whatever doesn't discard it and that is what the capoeristas in the various videos i saw did...peace
I personally do BJJ i honestly think i think when it comes down to a life or death sittuation BJJ is superior but that's just my opinion.

Ya know what, i'm surprised nobody actually uses this in the first place! Muay Thai is great "powerhouse" and all. But since everyone is dick riding ground fighting and "Tapouts" all the time, they really don't see the idea that capoeira is a fighting style which AC-TU-ALL-Y has moves that can be transmitted into jujitsu fighting. It's like one of those disputes that wont get solved or accepted over ignorance leading to stupidity!

I did, just for fun. He's a teacher in capoeira, I'm a second year in kickboxing. We ended up in me punching the guy around and he barely able to do anything, despite of it being sparring.

@n1cklass Well i have proven to a couple people that Capoeira isn't a joke of a martial art. all martial arts change eventually, Capoeira did and many others did too. A REAL martial artist won't put down or disrespect a fighter or style.

@VomitShovel Sorry, it isn't the style of fighting, it is the person. Especially when the fighter is very technical, which is what a fighter should be, using what he learned to overcome an opponent in any circumstance. Out of experience, i am more careful when going to my Capoeira training then Muay Thai..

@theprinceofspain no you are wrong, a white belt in bjj can tap a black belt in any martial art out, tkd doesnt allow for blockin of the head with hand or punching, they run at eachother kicking with hands down, kung fu is impractical but what do you expect from a group that does everythin in it power not to fight, capoeria has one knockout and the fighter who lost stood there to take the kick, its the style as well as the practioneer.

@ajacool45 thank you for further proving my point. you have two academies with diff level fighters, who are trained by different coaches, in the same sport, the one school is better or has better practioners. put those same losers whom are black belts, they would destroy anyone else. ps if this is true. the black belts would probably be stripped of their teaching capabilities. thats what the black belt means. that you are master and thus now able to teach the art.

I agree, though capoeira needs a ground game, unorthodox kicks are great with great sweeping but in mma they need to have some ground and pound in as well. They have great speed which can help a lot which great standing counters to screw with kickbokers and muai tai

I don't know was it one guy or three but in two of the three fights Capoeira was used fucking well. But you have to be careful with slow misleading kicks in the air. If you do it to a grappler then you'r fucked up. And Meia Lua de frente is not for fighting. But this was what Capoeira is about. It's one of the best fights I've seen

I can use Meia Lua de Frente in a fight, you just have to train like fighter, not just as Capoeirista. I use it for set ups but the attack is like a side bencao between the hands. I will post a video soon.

I'm training as a fighter don't wory. I ment that Meia Lua de Frente is a powerless kick. It's not enough to a knock out or to crack a normal human rib. I would use Martello instead. Thats a fuckin powerful kick.

You can use it if it's suitable for you, I just don't like it, becouse it's not enough poverful for a KO and maybe dangerous for the knee, and I think it's easy to avoid it.

Meia Lua de frente is great for an Meia Lua/Armada or Parafuso combo... I use it. But Martelo/Parafuso is sick also.

not the truth necessarily...i have seen instances where capoeira was used successfully in the context of an mma fight...in my opinion, it's all about the bruce lee theory: whatever works in a fight you use, whatever doesn't discard it and that is what the capoeristas in the various videos i saw did...peace
