The new Q3 will be based on the A3 platform.

It is not based on the Tiguan platform. The Tiguan uses the VW EOS platform, the Q5 uses Audi's A5/A4 platform.

Wow is that so, I mean those two tour guides must have been misinformed then when we visited Audi's facility in Ingolstadt, Germany. They even have that flatform of tiguan and Q5 on display to show similarity of the two units. I just wonder where did Audi get their info incorrectly. Now i'm confused what is the truth.

Do your research better next time!!! They are not the same platform. They couldn´t be. Engine layout on the Q5 has to be different than Tiguans to allow their Quatro system to be in place. New Audis use a platform called MLB. (Which is NOT shared with VW)

Well, either that tour guide got wrong information or you did not understood him. Q5 and Tiguan are not even close to be the same. Tiguan is smaller than Q5, Q5 engine bay is bigger, the actual distance between the front and real wheels is different, and it is based on the A4 Platform but modified for SUV performance.

De goedkoopste diesel X3 (2.0 TDI) kost net als de Q5 bijna €52.000. De 3.0 TDI's beginnen bij €65.000 en €75.000.

Conclusie: zelfde prijsstellingen, directe concurrent. Die opties zijn nou eenmaal onbetaalbaar, en op testversies als deze Q5 zitten ze er allemaal op.
