Oh WOW...I haven't seen this trailer in like 10 years until now. I'm pretty sure this was on one of my Powerpuff Girls VHS tapes I used to watch all the time when I was little. I always got freaked out by this trailer, especially at the end when the Joker's face flashes on the screen. (I guess I didn't know how to fast forward thru VHS tapes back then) As freaky as it was, I remember always telling myself at the end "It's just a commercial" and I felt better. But WOW this trailer is epic!! :)

As great as Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are, they are nowhere near as good as Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy were. These two actors found their best roles ever in Batman and the Joker, and Bruce Timm and Paul Dini made some of the greatest Batman movies and cartoons EVER. Batman TAS and Batman Beyond will always be the greatest on-screen Batman EVER...

I saw the censored version of this when I was a kid, and it was good, and didn't even know it was censored. I still haven't seen it, but I'm eager, especially since I haven't seen this movie in over 10 years.

I like the thought that people making the film cut loose with it, it makes me feel like they respected us and were willing to treat us more like adults.

(which sucks, because they either look gay, or retarded) I like how they kept the original theme and style in this one, Wayne is not funny, Wayne does NOT fall in love, Wayne is not an egomaniac like Stark, AND most important: he does not, under no circumstance SMILE.

@Rexem96 Actually no. The animation films had better writing, character development, and are closer to the comics than the Dark Knight.

The Dark knight is good... but has flaws. The story is predictable, Bale is a terrible Batman (Fuck that voice), the action is cool but not spectacular, and most people overrate it because of Ledger's death... yes he's a good joker but one character does not make a movie the Messiah of films... Nolan had a good script but still Dark knight is far from perfect.

Agree. One more thing that Nolan's movie lack is a good set design.

I prefer Tim Burton's "Batman Returns" than "Dark Knight".

And "Batman: Under the Red Cape" animation beats all.

Akira is quite an old anime... I've seen too much of modern anime so I think that's why I don't see much in common.

I agree that american animation should preserve their own qualities and style, but it should change too.

And not in this 3D stuff! Just envolve in its own way as an animation. If you read the modern comics, you can say they changed over the decade too. And digital painting is now at the forefront of the art. So how to ignore it?

I liked Mask of the Phantasm, it was really dramatic and with a great story;

But BB-Return of the Joker was in my opinion ruined at the moment when it was revealed that robin turned into joker cause of that chip... I would like it more when robin consiously or unconsiously turned into joker, without all this chip thing... I just wouldn't call it a character developement. But I loved the scene when Joker gets killed. Both versions were fine.

Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy are the best incarnations of Batman and Joker......no other voice actor can top them (The Batman series is a joke...those guys have nothing on Hamill's Joker and Conroy's Batman)

Thankfully they didn't try to remake their own version of batman beyond. I would cry if anyone besides Will Ferdiel did Terry.
