Hey Wagmatt. Quick question. I am a new comer to the game and i am trying to do things properly, like manual starts etc. The only thing is I cant get seem to get power going. I switch on external power and the fuel gauge like you say but where as you get those green indicator lights i get nothing. Am i missing something? (something you did before the video maybe?
how do i change the perspective like the guy does in the video? this could really help as some of the labels in the cockpit are obscured by other items
@aversion2k A certain mission or another might spawn you with a faulty chopper without you knowing, so I guess this may be helpful in such a situation.
Just like in real life you wouldn't expect the mechanical team allowing a chopper to fly when it has defects, however there's always a possibility it may happen, and therefore you check that.
It's mostly for fun, but you technically have to do the checks cause there is a chance you might have a faulty chopper from what I understand. So cool.
I have this installed on my new computer now, along with TrackIR 5. Indeed a worthy successor to my Janes F/A-18. :)
Have sat myself through the familiarization missions, taken it up for one quick spin. Managed to land again without damage. Too bad some yellow warning-light kept beeping and distracting from the experience.
All in all it felt fairly easy to handle. Compared to helis in FSX, this one was a breeze to wrangle into a semblance of coherent flying.
I just got my copy downloaded from the site and I must say this for the record, its the most indepth simulation ive ever come across. If you like comlex sims this is most definatly for you.
if you are into the flight simulation genre, i should now say to you: buy this sim! i'm playing it everyday. it rocks! and there's an awesome community to support all of us.
At first, the only flyable aircraft will be the KA-50, with a wide assortment of AI-controlled aircraft and ground units as well. Over time, additional modules for flyable helos and fixed-wing craft will be released (also in excruciating detail).
i cant even fucking get off the ground what the fuck

You do some stuff like testing the engine temperature. Is there any point?
Does the game ever spawn you with a faulty chopper? Or are you just testing it for fun :P

Great Scott! This could be the replacement for my Janes F/A-18 fix I've been looking for. Thanks for the vids Matt! :)

If this simulator is successful, they plan to add more ground attack aircrafts like the A-10 and the AH-64.
