  • Is there any cheap wireless mics that i can record audio to my laptop to add over my video when i start filming? any ideas?

  • @frostbite106 There are lots of cheap mics out there, yes. But it all depends on what you want to use it for. Are you recording audio for voice-over only? Or do you plan on using it to record actors in a short film? Send me an email with more info and I'll be glad to help you figure out exactly what you need :)

  • Please remove the music and re-upload, it distracts from the audio..

  • @Andybaby This video is over 2 years old.

  • lol, July 17th is my birthday.

  • what video did you guys use that audio wave movie?

  • I'm not actually sure what your question is, could you please explain?

  • its good...but can you guys speak louder and be more enthusiastic

  • which mic we should use?

  • It really depends on what you plan to do with it. Here, we're using a cardioid condenser mic, but it's most definitely not ideal.

  • thanks...where are you guys located? do you give professional training?

  • Maybe someday in the future we might (we're thinking about renting our own studio space).

We're from Buena Park, California, USA (south of Los Angeles).

  • cool. thanks so much.

  • Speaking of Audio,

how do you set up your mics to get such good audio in this video?

Do you just have a nice shotgun mic on the camera or a boom pole?

I'd love to know. I'm learning how to set up my mics for the best sound quality. (by the way, that would be a good tutorial)

  • Actually, all we have is a single AKG cardioid mic that's positioned directly above us. It's a good quality mic, but hardly ideal for our shooting conditions, to be honest.

That sounds like a good idea for an episode. Have you seen our first sound episode (the one we did in black and white)?

    Thanks!

  • wow i love you. thanks so much for this vid

  • I love this video. It completely backs up the statement that audio is 60% of a film.

I'm definitely going to favorite this.

Thanks for making such an awesome video!

  • Thanks a lot! Glad to help :)

  • Very very helpful, thank you very much!

  • awesome man,a great introduction 2 foley.. ill upload my audio visual cartoon which i did some prety intense foley.. took me quite a while 2 finish this project.. so b sure to check it out soon

  • do either of you know where i can aquire a 'beep' noise that you guys have when the screen goes white for a split second? (its a noise most movies have on their blooper reals and i am going crazy trying to find this sound effect!)

  • Sure,

    It's a 1000 Hz tone (or 1 kHz tone). Try a google search for a 1k-tone or 1khz tone.

If you still can't find one, send us a message with your email address. I'll email you one :)

  • How come you guys didnt banter back and forth at the end? I love that

  • Hey brotha! You and Peter doing well?

  • Amy! Yes we are! :D

  • Awesome!! Did yall use any audio software to edit that?

  • I think Peter might have used Adobe Soundbooth to clean some of it, but overall the sounds are almost completely unedited :)

    Thanks!

  • At first I had no idea what you were doing with all the sounds you were making, but then when you put it all together, it sounded really nice! Great job!

  • Great job guys! as always!

  • BRILLIANT!!

best episode till now guys! :-D

  • We've started scripting our episodes, so hopefully, they'll all be better from now on :)

    thanks!

  • You guys are great!

  • thanks! :)
