Thanks for the insight - checked this out and find that "Yes, too much copper in the diet will kill the shrimp. But shrimp need a very small amount of copper in their food for good health" & ".4ppm is toxic to fish "tap water has 0.042 ppm of copper and my RCS are doing just fine. So, somewhere between 0.042 ppm and 0.4 ppm copper becomes deadly to inverts, guessing that value is closer to the lower number than the higher one." in time of "need" a short period will do little harm it seems.
Reply ... Not sure how one can get these electrodes any closer (there are 2 in each cell) .. More plates? ... you'll see in this vid & other's in the series just that, and in parallel too..
Great work !! I could see this trikle charge a battery bank to converter for household use --in my soil conductivity test I found vinager upped the readings ,,no access to sea waters here but maby a diffent recipe can also affect the sea water tests
Wizzz ...YES .. am now at the "go learn" stage .. so as to build electronic circuits to run motors, and charge the batteries '~) ... rain or tap-water with added "Sea-salt" gives near on comparable results .. used vinegar .. needs much .. am trying to keep energy as near to free as i can ... river-water some time soon '~)) who knows what all the chems in that might bring ???
nice info

cool. what material are the electrodes made of? and over time, did one of the elctrodes diminish while deposits gathered on the other elctrode?

about rivers and copper...crustaceans are extremely sensitive to copper, ie. kills shrimp and freshwater muscles etc etc,
great vid, thanks

It seems like you need a membrane in between the c&z plates. like a piece of paper towel. like a voltaic pile. very interesting work here.

Thanks for taking the time .. will be trying this, you're not the first to suggest this, so will do sometime.

Hi. Have you tried more plates of copper and zinc connected in series, and how about the spacing of the plates.
in your sea water.
I think the plates may have to be close together for more electrons to flow.
cheers.

have ran LED tests for 24 hours, with energy left in cells
