Let me get this right: She can speak Swedish, Kurt is Norwegian but somehow these two languages are similar to one another so they have no major troubles understanding each other. The inverview is in Germany, so the other guy (and that girl as well) speaks German and then in the end they all switch to English. :)
@CzechItOut007 well she is German but speaks Swedish and the Norwegian dialect is very similar to the Swedish so they are able to understand eachother similar to High German and Bavarian German...much like British English or american English the dialect and accents are different but understandable to one another thats just how it is lol
your life has change a lot then .. yeah ... then she .. now you are a big fucking super star lol is it like normal in germany i mean to call some one on tv especially a guest f..cking anything then .....
I was looking at the comments on this video and yours caught my attention. I'm from the USA & I would never fault you for a few misspelled words, I'm not perfect myself, none of us are. I think it is wonderful that you can speak more than one language. I love listening to music from around the world & I especially love hearing music sung in different languages, even if I don't understand the words. Music is a beautiful language all it's own.
Actually that is offensive and we dont really care if we see stomething spelt wrong, we do all the time, our grammar issnt that great, and yes i concur with sisterwitch that it is good to speak 3 or 4 diffrnt languages, so dont speak for everyone in america because we are not like that really, there are some bad apples though i do agree
It blows me away how they can just switch effortlessly from language to language like that. His (Kurt's) English is so good. I'd love to be able to speak 4 or 5 different languages and switch back and forth without even thinking about it. What surprises me even more, is that they feel all the television viewers should be able to keep up as well. Why don't they just stick to one language (except for the singing)?
Kurt sounds really American when he sings, and still some when he speaks. That's so cool that Europeans speak all those languages and can switch between them so quickly. I envy that so much.
'Now your a big f*cking famous superstar' funny, then the other presenter says 'popstar'. Kurt Nilsen looked shocked. The other presenter must have thought he was shocked because she called him a superstar. Crazy Germans. lol
every norwegian can understand (more or less) swedish, it's kinda like dialects of a comon language. if spoken slowley danes swedes and norwegians can understand eachother no problem
oh cant believe where has he got this voice? not everyone has it in the singing world. he should be number one in world music cause of this amazing voice.
Hahaha, I was going to say, "German is easier to understand than Norwegian. I understand bits and pieces!" Then I realized they're going between languages. :(
I do think the bit at the beginning was just German though and I understood a lot of that. I love how Kurt sounds southern though.
I think he was trying to be as Swedish as possible for her, because she speaks Swedish but not Norwegian. But really, they should have just had a proper simultaneous interpreter cause the interview sucks.
Haha... I was like WhAt?! there is not a single word of Norwegian in this video?! =P I thought he was speaking Swedish.. seriously... I couldn't tell he was speaking Norwegian! lolz... and i'm Swedish... which really proves how similar Swedish and Norwegian are x3
Yeah, I'm a swede and I absolutely don't have any idea what norwegians and danes are talking about ;p I worked in Norway last year and it's hard to understand ;)
Kurt is from a little city called Bergen, wich is a little north of the country part of norway. By Country i mean a place full of crops and fields, North of that place though. The way we speak at that part is really different from the east part of norway. From my point of view the east part are too polite inn their words, they speak the bad words so quickly, while we from the west part add alot more pressure inn the words actually. sry i got carried away. ill end it here.
Norwegian and swedish is really simmelar. Norwegians can understand danish too but it's a bigger problem listen to someone then rather read what they write.. And when someone speaks swedish to a norwegian it shouldnt be a problem at all, tho swedish people seem to have a problem sometimes understand norwegian..it's abit harder to read swedish and understand it then listen to someone speaking it
That is something I have pondered for a while.. I know Swedish and Norwegian look exrtremeley similar cause ive tried learning a little of both but do Norwegians and Swedes communicate effectivley..
I'm norwegian and i understand swedish quite well cause its very similar, the writing however is alot more different. The Danish's "writing" is similar too our own but the way they speak those words are WTF?? for us, it sounds like they speak while throwing up or something.
But most Norwegians understand Danish, at least here were I work, multinational. Fins, Norwegians, Sweeds and Danes :) But the Sweeds are a bit more "not understaning" of our way of speaking.
But when the Norwegians speak, sounds like they are singing CONSTANTLY :p
Singing constantly huh, maybe that's why kurt is so good at singing. XP But inn different regions they do speak different way's here. Inn the south-west we speak alot more different than the east part. The west side speak with the same kind "R" as the french actually, while the east speak the "R" while using the tounge alot more. I don't know if you know what im talking about, but there's just some who speak like they're singing constantly not everyone.
We have Norwegians here from every part of Norway.
But yea, some are more understandable than others endeed. Think the guys from the North are most understandable. But here we speak our own language to one another :) But we Danes must speak Swedish to the sweeds since they dont understand the Dansih very well :)
