    Seriously...great work on the exhaust.  Dumps get obnoxious on f-bodies but this one sounds nice and ballzy.

  • You're probably not even trying to shift fast... sadly this is the fastest I can shift since my synchros aren't the best, coupled with the stock GM hydraulics :/ Tick master cylinder here I come.

  • If you pull out the stereo, you can fit your wire between the vents in your dash, then you don't have to fool with the power wire to your radar. The plug that goes in the radar will fit if you play around with it a bit.

  • @2001camarolover Your on crack. We are talking about a kenne belle cobra. Not a stock one. Ls1s dont have a chance without forced induction. Kenne belle meaning 600+ to the wheels. Camaros arent even in the same category as the terminator cobra.

  • @rodthestud They are in the same category, but even me being a camaro owner I would take a terminator in a heartbeat if i had the chance. But if comparing a kennebell cobra to a camaro the camaro should be boosted aswell, because once you get into boost the whole theory of "well the cobra only has a 4.6L" goes out the window in a matter of a few PSI. So it would be fair to compare boost vs boost instead.

  • @2001camarolover Let me tell you, I had a 99 cobra and way more expensive just for a cam swap than the ls1, I now have a 2000 ss camaro and its cammed and I love it! That should help your question! lol

  • @davmora806 thats very true cam for a 5.0 250 bucks cams for a 4.6 sohc 650 bucks cams for a 4.6 dohc 999 bucks. so its like if you mod a five oh but you actually get more power from an ls1 than a stang

  • @2001camarolover the ls1 is easy to mod and get N/A power from. the ls2 is better. and the ls3 is better than both and so on and so on. if you want to beat a cobra buy a super charger. its $6k for a D1SC procharger.

  • sounds good. I just got my 224r. Just wondering if this was dyno tuned? If so how much difference did the tuning make before and after power and drivability? I figured it was mild enough to tune with a handheld and wideband.

  • @levinlevinallday dude i wouldn't know, it was done at a shop and went straight on the rollers after the install. but i can tell you that it's great little street cam, it's a helluva lot of fun. enjoy!

  • Why do u blip the throttle when u downshift this isn't the 40's transmission are synchronized these days.

  • its called rev matching. its much easier on the clutch, gearbox, drivetrain...smart ass...go google it.

  • less strain on your transmission.. you shouldn't downshift at all, but it's fun as shit, so blipping helps the transmission find the rpms faster.

  • @ExtinctSS the drone is not too bad since it's a straight through resonator, although i do get drone at certain rpm because of it being dumped. but for me it's not annoying at all.

But yea it will be a daily driver for a little while by the time i get a cam il have some beater to drive around. Besides even if i didnt, i drive a truck that gets 11 mpg at best. I spend 40 dollars in gas every two days so im not sure if itl be so bad haha but either way il have another car by then

  • His set up is basically strait pipes. So yes, it is VERY VERY loud.

  • well loudness is up to u, u can stick any muffler behind the true duals u want. but a full 3" exhaust is a little much for a stock ls1 car. i know mine really didn't utilize the true duals until i cammed it. i'de say an O/R Y-pipe would be plenty for u. but since i plan on having a full h/c/i car before im done i chose TD's.

  • Well i figured while i dont have a cam a full 3" exhaust i would lose alot of back pressure and low end torque, but i didnt plan on leaving it stock, planed on camming it within a few months of gettin it. And i already have two bullet mufflers at my house so i wanted to put them to use :p plus i like VERY VERY loud lol

  • ok kool, what cam? also its not 'back pressure' -thats just an old wive's tale. its exhaust scavenging, or in laymen terms the velocity at which the exhaust gases move can effect the torque curve. but all its doing is moving the low end tq/hp #'s and shifting them to higher rpm's, because larger diameter exhaust takes more volume to create the same velocity. that's why when u do a cam swap the 3" systems start to come into their own. the higher lift/ longer duration creates more exhaust volume.

  • Yea im not too too into technical stuff but i do know what your talking about lol. But i was looking at the MS3 cam, a friend got one on his and is pretty satisfied with it as for being just a street car

  • yeah but u have to remember MS3 is right at the limit of what u can run on stock motor. also is yours gonna be daily driven? if so u can kiss your gas mileage good bye with an MS3.

  • I will try to remember to take a picture of my camera mounting, but all it really is, is a $30 tri-pod that is set up at the right height on the seats, two of the three leg's are on the seat so it doesn't topple over under acceleration, one leg in between the two seats, on the little tran's tunnel hump. Then bunjee corded to the convertible top's frame.

  • if you set the camera a few inch's down where it isnt setting on the roof, it will show outside the car better.

    most camera's focus on what most the image is. In other words, since the biggest thing in the image is your ROOF, its keeping the color range to show that, so the outside of the car is to bright to see.

    if you move the camera down, it will brighten up the image and show the outside of the car.

    Im surprised the traction is pretty good in first gear, when i have my street tires on, (given they are 215/50 tires, so real skinny) my first gear light's up almost always. Then again I have 4.10 gears, and a 3.35 first gear ratio.

    Anyway. enough of me being a jerk.

    You can tell the car make's more power, you can see the front end jumping up in the air and such, even into third gear.

    the traction is HORRIBLE in first i just wasn't giving it 100% because i didn't want the wheel hop to shake the camera loose.

    and thanks for the advice i'll try using the tripod next time and see how it works out.

  • wasn't trying to bust your balls, I understand.

    I hated the hydraulic clutch on my SV1000 campared to the cable clutch on other bikes, it was VERY inconsistent. Dunno if it is the same on car's.

    You should try and shoot a few more videos. Im tearing into my car next week for the head/cam swap. so imma miss driving it!!
