when i try using hulu on playon it says queue is private but i went online and made it public and it still says that plus it says please reboot ps3 or rescan for media.. what do i do!?
well playon stopped the 30$ lifetime liance. but if you bought it aruldy it will still be a lifetime with some of the newer channels not included like south park but that can be played on the ps3 without playon. it now runs 40$ a year. but lifetime or not you still get netflicks hulu etc.
It's because Hulu blocked the PS3's web browser. I watch Hulu using PlayOn. There is a link to the software in the description. It will run you $30 but I think it's well worth it for streaming Netflix, Hulu, CBS, Amazon VOD, and more.
My PS3 is plugged directly into a Linksys router. You do not need Windows Vista. You will need at least Windows XP though. You can find setup instructions on the MediaMall website (Link in the video description).
seems like it's worth the price, but we'll see what happens with the new software update we should be getting within a few hours which includes Flash 9 for the ps3's browser, i think the idea for that particular update is for sites like hulu. *fingers crossed*
my question for you is this. i know that there is a $30 after a period of time of being a beta tester. so once the release of the software is out, will they still charge the $30? should i wait for the full release for it to be free, or will they charge for teh software no matter what version i get?

what's the theme on your psp called?
piotraz 3 years ago
That's not a PSP theme. It's the default Playstation 3 theme. I'm controlling my PS3 through Remote Play on my PSP.

What kind of router are you using to stream to your ps3 and how did you set it up? Do you need Vista? Thanks ahead of time.

Yeah, that'll be great but it still won't support Netflix (Internet Explorer only).

This is real? no pay? no hacks? no tricks?
renastah 3 years ago
Of course it is. All you need is a PS3, PSP, and the PlayOn software. No custom firmware, hacks, or anything of the sort required.

The full release will be $30. The same as the beta version. Of course you'll get free updates after you purchase it.
