Talk about fear mongering...We need look no further than Europe (Greece, England) to see what out-of-control Government spending will do. Look, Reagan inherited almost a big a mess from Carter and turned it around by doing the direct opposite of what Obama is doing. Bill Clinton would've been a one term failure had he not had Conservatives in Congress and some good advisors (which Obama doesn't have) urging him to stop spending.
We are infants in a new world of unimaginable technological potential, we have the ability as a species to cloth, shelter and feed everyone on the planet with our military budget alone not ONE person excluded. This is what the American people VOTED for, we have no one to blame but ourselves. DO NOT VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT, we must rid ourselves of the idiots in Washington, ALL of them.
It's not a question of us 'doing that' and 'then' as a result, the US dollar turns worthless. It's what we'll do afterwards, 'when' it turns worthless.
Folks, just make sure you've all got some gold and silver coinage stashed away. It needn't be much, $1-2000. in gold/silver, just enough to get by for a few months of grocery shopping might well do the trick. When the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, we'll all coordinate a web movement to en mass shift to a gold/silver economy. We could ourselves, simply stop using worthless paper, all on our own. To hell with the Gov and the Reserve.
yes please do that and fuck me over by turning my USDs into more worthless currency while I am living in Japan. Which is slightly in a recession. Most of the world isn't as bad as the US. Though its bad everywhere. The US is in a crappy condition from what I've heard. But I am on JASSO so :D but the Yen can't stay strong or Japan's economy will suffer.
By what standards is he a dictator? He has the most closely monitored elections in the whole world, from the European Union to the Carter Center overseeing and certifying his elections. If you don't agree with his governance and policy - fine, but by no standard is he a dictator.
Destruction by design...the "Federal Reserve" is neither Federal, nor is it a reserve...abolish the Federal Reserve and the false paper debt! Abolish the Federal Reserve and the false hyperinterests! Give the power of the Federal bank back to the U.S. govt, and out of the hands of the int'l banking mafia!
Is this "Real News" for real or is it a scam to make money on donations. I just don't believe it is "real". I'm so sceptical from all the bullshit and scammers in the world. I've lost trust in almost everything.
I checked these guys out personally. I visited their offices, talked with their journalists and checked out their background and sources of funding. I don't always agree with the talking heads they invite onto their network, but I see divergent opinion and no axes to grind within their reporting. Its founder, Paul Jay, was one of Canada's most awarded news and documentary producer, created North America's largest documentary film festival. I hope that helps a bit.
The programs are nothing in comparison to the dept of defense which LOST 2.3 trillion dollars which is ONE QUARTER of that debt and PEOPLE paid for thei social security, thats a RQUIREMENT although PEOPLE PROTESTED paying it. They KNEW they's never see it, its theft! Look at Haliburton who charged the tax payers to LEASE (not buy) ONE ford SUV for $250,000 and HOW MANY they did that with and DESTROYED trucks and computers etc worth HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars. They are CROOKS
Good reason why an out of check government needs checks and balances and a great example of what happens when the constitution is ignored and no balanced bugets exist, and great example why the people were right about the bailout.
Good for the PRO war folks and Bush supporters, they can now rejoice on the streets with their children for the excess spending they were so for...what patriots they are! Thank you media for censoring Ron Paul and Peter Shiff, great service to your country!
OMG !!! damn the american debt is now 53 trillion !! toilet paper have more value then the U.S dollar . americans will start trading goods for food like back in the days , i have corn i give u 1 pound of corn for 1 pound of ur cow meat .
There is no way they can shore up the trade imbalances, and disparity of wages in time to salvage the economy. It has taken us over 20 years to dig this hole, plus we will have a huge national debt, and possible hyperinflation to deal with as the market is failing. The middle class has almost completly collapsed, and taken our economy with it.
well duh i know only He knows. & its not M.S. your an idiot to mis miss the idea. I'm just saying it could be a possibility. So in essance, your the one wrong.
This is nothing more than the one-dimensional, anti-"Guvmint" babble we have been subjected to for the past few decades.
Also, as much as I disagree with the monetarist crowd, it is also clear to anyone with good sense that a further drop-off in consumption would be SUICIDAL to the world economy.
Monetarists prefer tax cuts and lowered interest rates, but that cow has been milked dry.
You can't argue with the facts. The fact is either the government and Fed allow the recession to set in now without propping anymore failed institutions up, or delay and worsen the inevitable. Economies work according to the laws of nature, not the 'new deals' that we make up. Sooner or later we have to declare bankruptcy on all the borrowed and invented money we spent that we can't pay back. The collapse of our bloated system is an opportunity to rebuild our dying world.
Economies, even the utopian free market economies you paultards are so fond of, work according to conventions and rules agreed upon by its participants.
There's nothing "natural" about them.
"The collapse of our bloated system" will result in nothing but grief and, eventually, the birth of another "bloated system".
And that's all the wisdom you're going to get from me.
No. The dollar rally is a short term result of central banks around the world purposely devaluing their own currencies in support of the dollar. The dollar is a reserve currency around the world and at the moment everyone stands to benefit from its defense.
The real thing to look at is the trillions of dollars being pumped into the financial system by the US government and Federal Reserve without an exit strategy. Once lending and borrowing resumes you can count on massive inflation.
Quote: CuredOfApthy "This is an orchestrated meltdown."
Why would the rich/greedy want their environment to collapse around them? Maybe they're all planning on evacuating the U.S. to some remote luxurious island on the equator where they can relax and start a new supreme civilization!
it seems like everyone the bible has been telling us is coming true, that book was written thousands of years ago and its still here, surviving thru the ages, maybe we should pay more attention to what revelation has to say, it talks about world economic disaster, war, famine, greedy men, disease, all things that will happen in the "last days"
The economic crisis is the result of a gluttonous banquet of corruption and fraud where there is no law and order. When there are no boundaries the few will take the many and exploit them. This is an orchestrated meltdown. Those with white collars and crafty attorneys will experience no consequences. Greed is infinite.
Ok just drop the last ha just went mad gooble goble. Cause where off cause not that iresponsible.....Are whe...Green notes take power????Are the world gone mad...
Still the same oil, still the same food, roads etc. Best and most effecient production EVER?? But whe cant go cause iff someone gets more than me,,,,CRYBABY...LITTLE GREEN NOTES!!??
The goal is lesser people after economic collapse....
Increased trouble, depression, hunger, trouble, marshal law, terrorist laws against own citticents and so on....Are you gonna eat it??? Bet you will! And thats the real newsHAHAHAHA
Isnt it funny that most countrys had a manufactured high price on houses, in fact in denmark the rising prices made a boom in econemy, because off released funds in the emediat profit in selling or the value rise so you could borrow money for spending OK. Thus the economic ''emediate'' boom.
Gosh didn't Ron Paul say the same thing during the campaign and everybody in the media called him crazy. But hey the wealthy are being protected so the pain that everybody else will have to go through is, well just ok.
peter schiff seems to be a believer in free markets. maybe he still believes in deregulation? who knows.
this is a problem that clearly cannot be solved by just letting the market do what it does. and somehow right now i cannot trust the judgement of someone who still believes that the markets would magically heal themselves if you stop interfering/regulating.
or maybe i misinterpreted him, he didnt express his views about this very clearly, but what he said seems to imply it.
Schiff is most emphatically NOT saying everything is fine and just let the existing market handle it. He is saying that the printing of free money as virtually zero interest loans to the wealthy is what got us into this mess, and printing more of it (and distributing it the same way) is not going to get us out of it, it is just going to make the ultimate resolution of the crisis worse.
The problem is that the government has completely removed market forces from the economy with regard to the value of money. The governments of the world have in fact tried to 'regulate' money by 'controlling' how much they print, and that very regulation is now collapsing. The current world money system is ANYTHING BUT free market. It is the opposite, it is big government control of the money system.
I agree that we are facing hard times and multiple crises, but on the positive side it is periods like this throughout history which have produced critical thinking and real change.
"The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics and cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were, and ask, why not?"
Are you kidding, McWalker? Look at Obama's economic team -- Federal Reserve Presidents, and people with links to international banking institutions. Also, some of the Obama campaigns top contributors are the banking institutions. J.P. Morgan Chase I believe was in the top 5.
What planet do you live on? On this planet Obama is going to continue to borrow about a trillion dollars a year from Asia which will cause the hyperinflation needed to put the final nail in the coffin that the controllers want us in.
Mmmmmmmm, thats good change. Just more of the same from a guy with a 'D' after his name and darker skin. Nothing is different with Obama than what we had with the last guy.
DOWN WITH THE JEW WORLD ORDER! This is part of the jewish bankers plan to enslave the world via debt and interest. They are rapidly consolidating their hold on the world, siezing land and tangible goods in exchange for creating money out of thin air- paper money, with nothing to back it except 1's and 0's on a computer somewhere. Wake up! Stop using the jewish debt system. Make a stand! ALLAHU AKBAR!
From what I have looked into he isn't, but I could be wrong. His father is Erwin Schiff who is in federal prison doing a 15 (I think) year sentence for challenging the income tax.
The fed is not technically part of the government, but they for sure are the government's partner in crime. They are just basically doing what the politicians want them to do, debasing the currency to make government liabilities easier to fund.
I think you have it backwards. The government is in the back pocket of the major Corporations, especially in the financial sector, and EVERYONE is under the gun of the FED.
Well I do not agree, but whatever cause it really does not matter. Just free yourself from the system by not taking up debt and holding assets instead of cash and let the banks go on their merry way.
What? The system is about to collapse, and the dollar destroyed. TAKE UP AS MUCH DEBT AS YOU CAN in exchange for real assets. The money will be worthless and the debts easily paid off.
i agree 100% that the dollar is likely to collapse, but under the off chance that they are able to save it I would rather not take up a ton of debt. if the government is indeed in the pocket of the banks as you say, they will probably eventually let the economy at large die in order to save the financial system. i mean so far they have given trillions to the banks yet they make auto manufacturers beg and plead for 'mere' billions. but i think getting out of cash and stocks is the best bet.
The banks have control over the supply of money, and unless they are complete idiots, they know what they are doing. They have both inflated the money supply AND restricted credit. It's like they are loading their weapons up planning to completely annihilate the dollar.
All they have to do is loosen the credit (Obama may even MANDATE this) and BAM! the dollar collapses, and a new currency, perhaps a global currency, is offered as the solution.
I'm not claiming to be a news organization, smart guy.
Besides, I actually DO spend some of my time trying to expose them. If you had taken the 3 seconds it takes to click on my profile, you would have recognized that.
-And told everyone that the whole election is a setup from London, where Obama would fall for the Rezko-scandal, so that Michael Bloomberg would become the next president..
What is Ron Paul doing? What should he do?? He cant do anything.. This crisis is orchestrated from the top.. He was out there warning people from the start. Its your own resposibility to safe your own ass now..
you all are coming at me like Im attacking Ron Paul, I'm not.
He demonstrated a hope for the actual sane people, but that time is now up. I dont see him really donig anything. And i would love if anyone could tell me if he is.
LaRouche been "doing" for over 20yrs. He's taking action, the campaigns are always in the street.
He's in every news media (That doesn't pertain to the american eyes) and world leaders are listening and getting into discussion with each other becaus of him.
so has ron paul when first ran as libertarian..he had the same ideals and spoke about the same issues. he is now supporting libertarian candidates across America..so don't talk shit if u don't want your talking about douche

It's not a question of us 'doing that' and 'then' as a result, the US dollar turns worthless. It's what we'll do afterwards, 'when' it turns worthless.
Panpiper 3 years ago
Folks, just make sure you've all got some gold and silver coinage stashed away. It needn't be much, $1-2000. in gold/silver, just enough to get by for a few months of grocery shopping might well do the trick. When the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, we'll all coordinate a web movement to en mass shift to a gold/silver economy. We could ourselves, simply stop using worthless paper, all on our own. To hell with the Gov and the Reserve.
Panpiper 3 years ago 3
yes please do that and fuck me over by turning my USDs into more worthless currency while I am living in Japan. Which is slightly in a recession. Most of the world isn't as bad as the US. Though its bad everywhere. The US is in a crappy condition from what I've heard. But I am on JASSO so :D but the Yen can't stay strong or Japan's economy will suffer.

Disappointing video, The Real News.
Face it: it's either New Deal 2 or anarchy.

The collapse of our bloated system is an opportunity to rebuild our dying world.
delerium2k 3 years ago
"Economies work according to the laws of nature"
Economies, even the utopian free market economies you paultards are so fond of, work according to conventions and rules agreed upon by its participants.
There's nothing "natural" about them.
"The collapse of our bloated system" will result in nothing but grief and, eventually, the birth of another "bloated system".
And that's all the wisdom you're going to get from me.

The US has a housing/credit crisis, then the Canadian dollar looses 20% compared to the American dollar. The Australian dollar lost even more.
Now that the US treasury dept. wants to print more $, the value should be rebalanced again.
Yes, no?
lighthammar 3 years ago

The economic crisis is the result of a gluttonous banquet of corruption and fraud where there is no law and order. When there are no boundaries the few will take the many and exploit them. peter schiff seems to be a believer in free markets. maybe he still believes in deregulation? who knows.
this is a problem that clearly cannot be solved by just letting the market do what it does. and somehow right now i cannot trust the judgement of someone who still believes that the markets would magically heal themselves if you stop interfering/regulating.
or maybe i misinterpreted him, he didnt express his views about this very clearly, but what he said seems to imply it.
kurtilein3 3 years ago
Schiff is most emphatically NOT saying everything is fine and just let the existing market handle it. He is saying that the printing of free money as virtually zero interest loans to the wealthy is what got us into this mess, and printing more of it (and distributing it the same way) is not going to get us out of it, it is just going to make the ultimate resolution of the crisis worse.
Panpiper 3 years ago
The problem is that the government has completely removed market forces from the economy with regard to the value of money. The governments of the world have in fact tried to 'regulate' money by 'controlling' how much they print, and that very regulation is now collapsing. The current world money system is ANYTHING BUT free market. It is the opposite, it is big government control of the money system.

Why is this crisis happening?
Peter Schiff got it close, but he keeps on saying "The Government".
The Federal Reserve is NOT the Government. Why doesn't anyone do an expose on the FED?
Not even the real news, because you are COWARDS, just like everyone else.
somecomputergeek 3 years ago 3
The fed is not technically part of the government, but they for sure are the government's partner in crime. They are just basically doing what the politicians want them to do, debasing the currency to make government liabilities easier to fund.
burtmuh 3 years ago
I think you have it backwards. The government is in the back pocket of the major Corporations, especially in the financial sector, and EVERYONE is under the gun of the FED.
somecomputergeek 3 years ago 3
Well I do not agree, but whatever cause it really does not matter. Just free yourself from the system by not taking up debt and holding assets instead of cash and let the banks go on their merry way.
burtmuh 3 years ago
What? The system is about to collapse, and the dollar destroyed. TAKE UP AS MUCH DEBT AS YOU CAN in exchange for real assets. The money will be worthless and the debts easily paid off.
somecomputergeek 3 years ago
i agree 100% that the dollar is likely to collapse, but under the off chance that they are able to save it I would rather not take up a ton of debt. if the government is indeed in the pocket of the banks as you say, they will probably eventually let the economy at large die in order to save the financial system. i mean so far they have given trillions to the banks yet they make auto manufacturers beg and plead for 'mere' billions. but i think getting out of cash and stocks is the best bet.
burtmuh 3 years ago
The banks have control over the supply of money, and unless they are complete idiots, they know what they are doing. They have both inflated the money supply AND restricted credit. It's like they are loading their weapons up planning to completely annihilate the dollar.
All they have to do is loosen the credit (Obama may even MANDATE this) and BAM! the dollar collapses, and a new currency, perhaps a global currency, is offered as the solution.
somecomputergeek 3 years ago 3
Why dont you go do an expose then, tough guy?
