I thought it was pretty tedious, even though it had great potential (with the special effects), but the story wasss... well, pocahontas. A too pretty and simple way to explain the whole conquest thing (which is not really the way it even happened), besides it's a pop film, so... you can't expect it to be some jewel in cinema, although it will be to some people who don't know much about films... some people? I meant most people...

I liked the way James Cameron came up with a new way to portray an classic story. There is no such thing as a "new story" and people need to understand there are going to be a lot of similarities between Pocahontas (which is extremely historically inacurate kthx) and Avatar because of the fact the Na'vi are at the hunter/gatherer stage of developement like the Native Americans in Pocahontas were. Stunning graphics and a well developed race make for a good story!
