a 59.9xx is quite impressive though, i get 1:02:xxx with my corvette (slightly tuned) and a low 1:03 with my f430 scuderia (tuned)

It wasn't stock, I was also very dissapointed with it when I first won it too, however it tunes up to around 1150hp, and if you gear it for about 230mph it is pretty good, also with racing softs it corners suprisingly well. It's a shame it doesn't have the proper engine sound and isn't a premium car. Would be so much better if it was...

Do an unrestricted point race in one the classes with the aerodynamics tuned all the way up. With those aero settings you can get a 48 second lap around the High Speed Ring. I suppose its not as worthwile as getting a 49.6 in regular time trial mode where you can't change the aero package, but its incredible to take most of the corners flat out.

ferrari's arent the only sports cars, just because ferrari and lambo and pagani have supercars doesnt mean they are the only true sportscars out there, there are plenty of fast japanese sports cars out there, the term "ricer" is for upgraded civics and accords, upgraded economy cars, these are not true sports cars, true japanese sports cars are the nsx, gtr, 3000 gt, supra, zz2, rx7, rx8, s2000 etc, just cause a car doesnt have 400bhp or more doesnt mean its not a true sports car

Having said that, the GT-R is a genuinely Japanese car in that it resembles their culture, the shape, the technology of the car. Quite possibly the best sport car Japan has ever put out. Right there in the pantheon with the NSXs and 2000GTs.

Civics and Accords can be made into capable sports cars, but generally (save for maybe the Si and Type R) don't come that way from the factory. the standard ps3 controller has variable analogue input for the steering so its smoother around the corners compared to the psp version which only had the digital directional pad for steering so its potentially slower around the corners because you cant be as smooth. The steering wheel is good for realism but steering input is slower especially for changes in direction or correcting oversteer when comparing to a controller
