  • Yep, we're screwed now. Prepare to be hearing "I am ready!" right before they take skynet live.

  • usa jealosy

  • to those of you saying "YEHH CANT WAIT FOR 20 YEARS FROM NOW!!@" stop being so dense...

there is, and always will be, plenty of inherent evil in human reality.. for every honest to goodness marketer out there, there are 5 scamming pieces of shit who don't care about anyone but themselves.. for every artist that creates things for pure purposes, there is an engineer out there that creates for destruction...

  • for those who are still nim-witted...

this parallels into all aspects of our lives, much like a yin-yang relationship... and will most definitely spill over into robotics. NO MATTER WHAT. so, if i were you, the last thing i'd do would be getting all "^_^" giddy about this... because, while i think this is just as freakin cool as you might, let's all grow up and have some foresight here...

    all best. :)

  • This is not fake, this is the future

  • FAKE!!!

  • how the fuck can it be fake??? how? look on wiki Asimo is awsome and definately IS the future!

  • This thing is so awsome. Can you Imagine what kind of robots and other future gadgets will will have in 30 to 40 years from now. Wow. Makes me wish Time travel was possible now, Id love to take a trip to the future to see the progression of mankind.

  • Are these things gonna be out to buy?

  • do you've like 30 million in cash? then yes.

  • lol asimo is not a comercial robot and is not a toy u need to whait more 30 years to buy one ! ;D

  • its skynet

  • of course it is...but is not evil yet. we have to teach it to be that way. then it will take its course.

  • i hope i see a day with robots in the army

  • It keeps getting better and better every time I see the new model. The movements are remarkably human like. It already gives me an illusion of a personality in it.

We may see a beginning of a persocom(Chobits) era in our life time.

  • i love Asimo =]

  • uhh thermrmonk.. if u look at the other vids it does respond and munipulate objects.. it reconizes humans and acts on its own

  • hey aren't those 2 from Attack of the show on G4TV?

  • i cant believe it took this long for someone to notice kevin and olivia at the end... they are both really nice, by the way!

  • yeah. duh

  • Guys this is not A.I it can't learn. I think some scientists in Japan created A.I in a robot with four legs the size of a matchbox with one red eye cam, it was put in a thick glass cabanette filled with and, they ran it for 60 seconds then shut it off and dismantled it because they thought that it was too large a risk. =]

  • 4 real?

  • Erm actually, it can learn now. With the new upgraded version he has a small computer in his head. Lets say... You had a race with him and he won, If you say to him "Wow Asimo You won!" He would find the word win/won and realise it is a good thing. This robot can learn things. =]

  • believe me, this machines will kill us within 50 years....

  • @weenerwi:

You have to stop watching the Terminator movies :)

  • I do like this, the technology!!!brilliant!!!!

  • hope this thing cant beat me up O_O

  • The Real Terminator is comming!

  • I want 1 of these it's amaizing great post

  • its just amazing that theres actually something out there that is so realistic to man. Although it is kinda a shame that its been programmed to do everything that was shown. If it sensed its surroundings and made moves accordingly, that would truly be amazing

ps: gotta love the MX radio xD

  • Yes but Artificial Intelligence is WELL on its way. The fact that the robot was able to hold itself up and walk as a bipod (even if only programmed) Is a revolutionary step in its own.

Its absolutely ground breaking that it can run, incorperate AI into that formula and you got androids that can be our future police for all you know.

  • would be funny if it kept running and fell off the stage into the audience

  • LOL! Its looks constipated!!

    xD

But its getting so much better. I cant wait until robots are used to help people normally rather then just in developemental stages.

  • It's a good start, but I am surprised Honda isn't further along with this. Every iteration of Asimo I've seen moving walks as if it needs to go poo.

  • I would bet thats for every one of these little guys bilt theres like three being built for millitary testing

  • hmm i think this robot is programmed to do the exact same things ... actually i can bet if someone try to place the stair in a different position the robot will do the esact things like the first time and will try to climb the air lol.Or maybe if u put this robot to run on a random terrain it cant becouse his steps and equilibrium are programmed to work only on very flat terrain.Yes is a nice thing to see it but its only a lot of work to program it and its nothing special.

  • Honda is JAPANESE company, isnt it? why do you say as if Asimo was from America...?

  • Yeah Honda is Japanese... i am just making a reference to the other guy saying "stupid American"

  • hmm

''and one day robots like asimo will be helping around the home.''

yeah and then they'll be given weapons...........

  • at 00:20 u can actualy hear a stupid american say: Oh my god, woooow! hehe!

And why does the robot walk like it just shat its pants!? Whats wrong with it!?

  • The robot has a high center of gravity.

    Use Google.

    And spell check.

    Signed,

    Stupid American

  • Then they could just have lowered that center of gravity if that was the case. No i think the answer is more rediculous than that! :)

    I hate google.

I dont have to make a good impression with spell checking since its mostly stupid americans reading this anyway. Besides, english is not my mother language so im plenty satisfied with the result! :)

Oh, so u are the stupid american saying wow on the vid?. Dont u know its just a machine!? hehe... cheers stupid american :))

  • Battle bots woulda been way cooler with these things fighting it out.

  • some spooky lookin shit thats for sure

  • I wanna see asimo with fatigues killing arabs

  • Ready Asimo? "I am ready...TO KILL YOU ALL!!"

  • AHAHAH! that was nice..image if that robot trow out some "GUNS" like in TRANSFORMERS and say what u said...lol

  • This is it my peeps this is the start of the END!!!! (Some one give him a gun)

  • i love the asimos :)

  • no ass-sa-mo stop killing the humans!

  • Hey, I can do most of that stuff too!

  • yes good but why do we need this? as soon as the military takes control of it and they will where do we stop we are not god

  • there is a man in the suit a loyal soldier.

  • Man in a suit?? Uhh.. Unlikely. You might find the history of ASIMO quite interesting, and can find it on their website. There were several generations of very limited capabilities before getting to the advancements found in ASIMO. A lot of research has gone into this from Honda.

  • as u can see in other vids, it still takes a man

to tell asimo where to start and where to stop his run. but he calculates the way he moves by himself. asimo is a wonder of modern technology.

  • wtf r u taking about, that is not a man in a suite dude, that is a robot

  • true. thoose who do not beliv it google it you will find what you will se quite intresting.

  • most likely a man in a suit

  • no it is most likely the END OF THE WORLD MAN!!!

  • can everyone please try and keep the comments civilized here, I dont want to have to start deleting them!

  • i wult knok da shyt owta dat lidle bich fagit!

  • NO FAGG!! your fuckin little bitch hand would break! pussy ass mother fucker!lol

  • Don't be fooled people. There is a real little man in that robot suit. Same bloke that was in Diffrent Strokes.

  • a yeah who can got round hip?

  • There's no man inside, I seen inside with my own eyes.

  • Japan > USA

  • can he understad " asimo bring the beer from the fridge " ???? lol

  • Asimo is sooooooooooo CUTE!

I wish the US could produce something better considering the USA is far more advance than Japan in overall technology

  • lmao, Japan is way far advanced than USA, And I dont live in either countries. lol

  • If you think the US is far more advanced, how come you have so many SONY products in your house? Its not a coincidence that the best quality cars are Toyotas and Hondas......you do the math Nicko...

  • no theyr not usa didint make play stasions ther you have it japs are badass go Asians you rule!!!

  • the US has much more advanced military (and other) technology, but it's all secret (CIA,FBI,NRO...) information. it's all 10 years ahead of anything on the market. Japan, on the other hand, is more robot/device-oriented, and the main difference is that the technology belongs to companies (Sony, Honda...), so it's made public.(which is better of course)

  • oooooo did you see that, he ran in a circle, and he walked up stairs...I do that everyday...where is my stage with a guy talking me up like im special....let me know when this thing can drive me to work, or better yet go to work for me and give me the pay check...

  • god you're an ignorant fuck.

  • your fuckin stupid!!!!!!!! its a machine you lameass mother fucker!!!!!!!!

  • your mom is a sex machine, and she serves more purpose than this fuckin robot, and she is cheaper too!!!

  • but you would not be able to afford her dumb shit

  • Lol theres no remote He/she is like a normal human but alienfied..

  • That's not running. He always has a foot on the ground.

  • no its in the air for .8 seconds

  • asimo with skate coming soon

  • nah no remote its all iteligence

  • Incredible robotics technology... but unfortunately, someone is remotely controlling him. We may be many years off from ASIMO controlling himself.

  • Yeah, when i was there watching Asimo, i kept thinking that he is probably remote controlled, and not truly autonomous! But you never know!

  • i believe the technology exists for ASIMO to be autonomous, but it might be too earlier to release such a thing to the public eye, to threatening perhaps? ASIMO looks straight out of the star wars universe. All he needs is a "cute" voice and the ability to do labor....the technology is there, i know it. Robots is also being targeted for future warefare to replace soilders. I believe such a robot soilder costs 20 million each, i heard on the news anyway.

  • it's probably RC for a show like this, but there's also videos of it walking by itself on a path made by white lines on the sides. a lady then comes, takes his hand, and walks with it. he follows like a little kid (of course, probably only works if the lady's sexy xD . it can also find a cart and roll it around on the path.

  • Is there a kid in there? come on, he needs air.

  • lmfao

  • where is a bigger, more human looking Asimo?

  • I WANT ONE!

  • One day Asimo could be a helper in our home? Like a slave? At what point do machines become so sophisticated, that they pass all the same tests for self-awareness that you set for a person? Look up Star Trek TNG episode 'Measure of a Man'

  • As long as we treat them with respect and dignity, and not like meere tools like hammers and nails, we should be fine.

  • wow...another few years and we will see hundreds of these things running around the middle east with guns.

  • I don't think Japan would enter another war in the middle-east. And should they develope a military Robot, they would keep it to themselves. Perhaps even invade the US? Gasp!

  • i think they have really made a real life METALGEAR it is possible

  • no , robots with tank-like wheels (kinda like the T1 in Terminator) are more stable and much better for war (and cost less cuz they're simpler to design). they're already in use

  • greeeeat the terminator wuz right just perfect....

  • thanks for posting!

  • I want one. And a pepper-pot shaped side kick :-)

  • asimo cost more then your house.

  • You could be wrong, but you're right. Give it 20 years.

  • The funny thing i found about asimo is that it looks more lifelike when moving then when standing still, and the movements are freakishly lifelike. Also sorry about the audio, it sounds alright on my computer, but online it is a little hard to make out what the host is saying!
