@Adetque Also, after reading the description, I have some help with the video/audio desynch. What I do for movies less than 10 minutes, is use Expression Encoder to record the movie. Its like Hypercam or Camstudio, but the quality is actually good! There is no desynch when I use that. Though the free version has a 10 minute limit so, unless you are really good at pausing and resuming the Snes movie and mashing 2 videos together in Movie maker, theres not much I can do about longer movies.
if you're looking to fix you desync, try recording with everything set to uncompressed (compression takes a lot of CPU cycles) and then compress it later on for upload.
I've tried that, when I combine the videos with VirtualDub it desyncs and somehow it becomes about 2 minutes longer than it should be, since Snes9x can't have movie files larger than 2gb for some reason.
I don't understand how to get fraps to start recording lol. I press the record hotkey and nothing happens. And all the other recorders lag a ton for me. I'm pretty sure I'm just using them wrong, but I can't find any guides on how to get a lagless recording.
as for fraps, it has to be a program that uses hardware acceleration, but i'm not sure if snes9x does (i'm only familiar with zsnes, which i know does). if you want, you could always toss files my way and i could nudge around the audio timing a little bit to resync it for you :]
i use sony vegas, so i'd be able to timestretch the audio -very- slightly so that it doesn't have the little (usually inaudible) gaps in it that cause it to desync
Man, those are NOT healthy-looking fish....

@Kzar5678 You should see my more recent videos. They have no desync problems at all. Thanks anyway though.
Adetque 10 months ago
@Adetque Yeah, I kinda see that now. Lol
Kzar5678 10 months ago
Why do you move the camera at 1:30?
Kzar5678 10 months ago
@Kzar5678 I don't remember exactly. I think it was to make it so the thwomps don't fall too early.

only the top layer of porci puffers have attack right?

@coolistmo I'm not sure what you mean by that. The sprite has a 2x2 hitbox.

@Adetque well at 5:34 and 5:37 you went through the porci puffers stomach

@coolistmo Never mind then. Perhaps the hitbox is smaller than I though. I just know it's not just the top that has the hitbox.

Why didn't you stomp the right one in 2:06? That could save you time. This is a TAS. But overall, this is great

@drrobertoboogie97 If I had hit the right one, I would have fallen into the lava. Also, I am fully aware that this is a TAS.

LOL The levels in this hack look like random glitch levels, but the game is so hard!

Okay, seriously, the "MOVE FASTER POKEY!!!" obstacle is getting overused. But otherwise, nice hack and gameplay.

weirdness. if your computer's fast enough, i'd maybe suggest some other kind of screen recording app or something, or even fraps.

How do you do that? I've been trying to do it with VirtualDub but it never works.

I like ffdshow codec for optimal recording. Fairly low movie file size and little to no desync.

LOL at Pokey randomly disappearing. (Due to sprite limits, I assume?) Either way, he's a total ninja.
Very tricksy Kaizo trap at the end.
