  • Big up SIlver City, Big Up Jonny's NightClub.

  • nut nuts

  • i used to go here every weekend & the place rocked

    cant believe its on here!

  • i went to the labrynth reunion last week ,its was mental !!! what a night !

  • Crowland Road - Nut House was 'the' place back then, utterly mental with Jim the Musicman on the mic, Matthew B rocking my socks, steam pissing out the back doors and the biggest bass speaker you could have possibly got in a venue that size.

Ellis D, Bones and the Ratpack! Nuff said.

  • Crowland Raod was my first real illegal underground rave experience and came across it completely by chance because of a cancelled Sunrise or something. Will never forget it.

  • Actually it was called "Johnny's Silver City Nightspot" used go there as well as Crowland Road "The Nut House" in Seven Sisters...

Two Dangerous old skool raves, the good ole days!!!!

  • wood green ..it was called

SILVER CITY top of woodgreen were hollywoods cinema is now

  • I've lived in Wood Green/Ally Pally ever since 1988. Where the fuk was Labyrinth? How did I miss this on my doorstep? Where was it please?

  • xactly what im thinking .lived in southgate around that time i never heard this was happening down in wood green.

i allways though labrynth was in dalston

  • Apparently ~ found out ~ it was in Lordship Lane opposite WG tube by a coach station. Think they later built DoItAll or something there. Somethin else there now.

Really do believe that there is a HUGE gap in the market for over 35s. Somewhere to go, to dance, to luv this stuff all over again. No booze, no drunks, no aggression, no knives. Just folk who wanna luv this House all over again.

  • yeh i rember the place now .allways wondered why there was crowds of ppl trying to get into that building now i know.crap was watching a docu about labrynth they had alot of gang related stuff going on ,gangs squeezing them for monies ,,and ur right theres a huge gap for this stuff n i mean huge.

  • It moved from Woodgreen to the Four Aces in Dalston in 1990.

This place was on Lordship Lane near the junction of Redvers Road.

They built on it now but it used to be a bingo hall.

  • yeh i rember the building now :)

  • yep i remember lol a sweat box!

  • Classic footage fo' 'sho! I came along a few years later :) Started raving around '91/'92 when it was a little faster in tempo!

  • Good news Boppers ! :)

    Great vid !

  • tyree cooper -- let the be house -- google search soulseek NS and have a look ;) 99% the tunes on there (somewhere) ;)

  • I remember Tyree Cooper and the whole Hip House scene. I was 15 at the time and used to race home on bike to tape the shows we have on (in South Africa can you believe!) on Fri pm's. Not surprised I went from that to reggae and then into the whole electronic scene: jungle, D&B. Techno, tech-house dj today!

  • It's Let There Be House by Deskee. German I believe. One of my fave House tunes.

  • who sings the first song here and the name please how can i dwnload it thanks

  • wuts the name of this song?is it let there be house?who sings it lov it

  • yeah now your talkin nut house crowland rd,smiley culture toastin, and them nutter dogs at the back every one terrifid theyd escape an that little kid flyin round the place. only 4 the head strong then it closed down an we all piled up to wood green then upto dungeons which again was a mad venue,ah those were the days my friend. me an my mates used to drive up from herne bay to go to all these.mental mental radio fuckin rental
