  • faster in person

  • lol i work on this. i fucking hate lift

  • I can remember when this was the premier ride at Six Flags. There were two sides. One was a rougher ride than the other side. Then of course, one side became the Rail Blazer which very quickly had a deadly accident. There was also no tunnel on the drop. Things sure have changed for the better at Six Flags. I think the price of admission was about 6 bucks too. Of course, there weren't many rides either.

  • @churchillstevester1 I didn't know there were two Mine Trains a long time ago, what happened with the deadly accident?

  • I've ridden this coaster many of times and it never gets old. Its a bit rough but its a great starter coaster for those who are unsure if riding coasters are for them!

  • @dckhntr92 me too. six flags isn't really up on trimming the trees and bushes. heck i would do the job. but not at night. tooo many wild animals and spirits for me. there are 5 spirits at 6 flagsthat i know of. 2 little girls, Stella on river king mine train, the lady of the theatres, and the pig man.

  • people think that drops like that arnet fun,but they are very fast and fun

  • i rode this when I was a kid, had a blast, and they didn't have the lights at the tunnel. Made it even scarier.

  • @Railer61 They still don't have lights

  • Usually the guy in that little house at the top of the hill would stop you if you had a camera...

  • In July 1984, this ride was called Trail Blazer, and an incident turned fatal when, a 46 year old woman, fell 20 to her death. Her husband, witnessed that she was simply flung, after whipping a curve. She didn't faint.

  • I remember when this park had 2 mine trains, side by side. They removed one of them and sent it to Dollywood. They have since moved it from Dollywood to a park in Arkansas. They are both outstanding coasters as far as mine trains go.

  • memories

  • this one is pretty fun

  • @dinnerman1996

Is River King Mine Train Still There? I Was Just Wonderin Cause I'm Goin To The St. Louis Sox Flags On Monday.

  • I LOVE THIS RIDE!

  • i thought this ride is called flash because when the last time i went their it was the same ride like this called flash

  • my favorite ride!!

  • tht ride is 100% stupid till u get to the tunnle

  • this is where i go

  • who says rollercoasters have to be scary to be fun?. this coasters is awesome

  • Guys the ride is haunted I worked up in that booth. It was not the coaster who killed her it was her husband who shoved her out of the car. One day when I was working up there I heard a high pitch scream when the coaster was at the loading station It sounded like someone was screaming right in front of my face.

  • sharon

van tasties vet cool men he! huh!

  • the only thing scary about this ride is the nauseatinginly loud noise you hear going up the hills. Makes ya feel like it's gonna break or something.

  • My bro almost died on this thing. he's really skinnyu and my moms well... not, and there is only one lap bar per whatever u call it, and when it went down the tunnel he was flung up and he was standing

  • You live around St Louis? I work at this theme park, keep hearing the haunted stories, but have never seen anything.. :(

Hopefully by Frieght Fest i'll have a better chance.

  • its not haunted dude .its just really old cause it was like one of the frist rides in the park. lol but have fun though.

  • @rollercoasteraddict3 yeah. last time i rode it, i rode it alone. my lap bar flew open when we hit the final lift before the tunnel, and it wouldn't lock back down. so when we hit the tunnel i had to hang on for my life. ugh.

  • Is this ride really haunted?

  • yup

  • There was someone who died on this after a malfunction with stand up trains, but no haunting.

  • Oh really? Man I never stop hearing about it though, maybe someone started it as a rumor.

  • Six Flags actually tried to add stand up cars to this ride, but they malfunctioned and flung a woman to her death.

  • Yeah, I believe that was when it was called "The Railblazer"?

  • Well back then, this had 2 tracks. One kept the original mine train cars, the other had the stand up cars. One was the Rail Blazer, the other was just the mine train.

  • this is a pretty good kids ride

  • SUCKISH! :(

  • Sam, no rudeness.

  • Frankbo2, What do you mean?

  • is this still there? I didn't see it...

  • Yes, it's still there. I just rode it 2 days ago.

  • huh. i guess i just missed it then...

  • my brother almost fell out of this thing! It was funny

  • this ride is boring if u have been on batman or mr freeze

  • The Batman is the lamest ride ever, The RKMT is a real coaster, built by a real coaster company, unlike the batman...smooth piece of shit.

  • my friends got kicked out of the park for riding this ride, they stood up at around the 1:34 to try to grab a leaf and the people working for the ninja cought them and reported it to the people working for the mine train and well ya lol

  • I was 9 when I first road this. A lot of fun. I had to have ridden the thing at least 10 times, it was intense.

  • this ride is not intense mr freeze is

  • "I was 9 when I first road this..."

  • i can't believe i used to be scared of this! it is nothing! lol

  • Even though Im into the big rides there

    I still love this one

  • it fells like you fly out of your seat in the tunnel

  • OMG I KNOW

  • i actually almost fell out when i rode that. It was an awesome ride but messed UP

  • its sad someone died there

when it was a stand up

  • it is sad but i still wish i would have gotten to ride it....lol

  • i kno i think it would be sweet

    but

my dad and mom worked there when it happened

    and they said

there was so much procotion and saftey belts that you would have to force your way out to escape

    yaa lol

  • i LOVE the tunnel part!! hhehe!

  • A weak coaster, but still a fun one

  • This was the first wooden coaster built at Six Flags St.Louis

  • getrdonenumber1: River King Mine Train is a steel, not wood coaster. Look it up. It all depends on the track it runs on (even though wooden coasters run on a thin steel sheet). The support structure does not define the ride.

  • Oh I didn't know that.

  • Screamin' Eagle was the correct first wooden roller coaster that was built at Six Flags St. Louis.

  • lol my 13 year old frriend cried like hel on this

  • lol i just went today and i almost fell asleep!

  • sit in the way in the back so when the drop comes at the end you will stand up.

  • this ride looks lame

  • it is lol

  • I rode this ride when i went there about a month ago, and right before the end, on the last time we were going up a hill thing, we got stuck up there :( we were waiting for like a half hour for them to start up the ride again. I just started taking pictures and stuff. Then a maintance lady came up and said the computers weren't working. The ride kinda sucked. lol. Nice Video though :)

  • @xoILYSICILYxo The RKMT ghost strikes again. my friend worked there one summer and said when the RKMT ghost got pissed off it would shut down or mess with the computers.

  • i never realized how mane chain lifts are on this thing

  • how many feet down does the last drop go cause its to dark to tell, and i couldnt hear the guy on the train when he was talkin about it.

  • he said it was 500

  • The drop into the tunnel is approximately 41 feet. It is a pretty boring drop unless you are in the back because the drop isn't steep. River King Mine Train stats: Location Six Flags St. Louis Type Steel - Mine Train Status Open Opened 1971 Manufacturer Arrow Dynamics Model Mine Train Height 32 ft (9.8 m) Drop 41 ft (12 m) Length 2,500 ft (760 m) Max speed 37 mph (60 km/h) Inversions 0 Duration 3:00 I love this ride. It's really relaxing.
  • its like 20 feet

  • i could ride this ride over and over and never get bored of it!..its soo much fun!

  • I dont like to ride in the front, it seems really tame in the front, but in the back its better!

  • chett10: Even the 3 foot dip out of the station is intense in the back seat!

  • this is a fun ride but i prefer bigger rides btw my neice got hurt on this ride she cut her lip idkh though but she turned around to tell her mom something and she cut her lip!

  • after riding the ninja, screaming eagle, and the boss, this was kinda boring.

  • The only scary part is when you think you are going to flip, but thats part of the Ninja.

  • I hold my hands up when we go through the tunnel. ^_^

  • awesome first 1 i ever rode :]

  • fun little coaster

  • awesome ride ever!! went on it for my first time.. i was scared bc i didn't no if there was going to be really fast & how the tummy drop would feel! this is my first roller coaster in my life!! good timez!

  • A lady fell out of the stand-up car and died. There is speculation that her and her husband did it to get money and only meant for her to get injured, but much worse happened.

  • my uncle works there and theres blood at the bottom of the tunnel

  • Yikes.o.o

  • y waz there blood at the bottom of the tunnel in the river king main train

  • This was the first theme park I ever went to. Thunder River was the first rapids ride I ever went on. Good times, good times. - The Rapids Nerd

  • I LOVE THIS RIDE!!! LOL!! I HAVEN'T RODE IT IN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like the tunnel the best... that used scare me SO0O0O0O bad when I was little!! Like 6!!!LOL!! But, now that I'm older I LOVE IT!! LOL!!! REALLY COOL RIDE!!!!!!

  • i really font like this ride it jerks u too much........batman is so smooth its da best and mr. freeze is just plain old bitchen

  • i lyk the tunnel best thats my fave part.

  • the best part is the tunnel

  • Yeah. About the last chain lift? If it wasn't there, the train wouldn't have enough momentum to get over the last hill.

  • The person died back in the 80's when they changed it to the railblazer though, they had standup cars for a year... then they changed it back.

  • are u serious im still guna ride it

  • SOMEONE DIED WHERE THIS RIDE STANDS

  • how did someone die?

  • A woman named Stella Holcomb and her husband would go to various parks to jump off rides and sew the park, this time when there was stand up cars, she jumped out and she fell to her death.

  • FalcoLombardi15 she got thrown out of her seet not by jumping off the ride but fainting

  • @B1RUSH yeah and? some girls died where panda express stands today. back in the 70's,the sky way(ski lift) a car fell off the cable in the spot where panda express restaurant stands. sometimes u can see a little girl over in the kiddie land dressed in a yellow dress with puffy white sleeves. i saw her over by the little kiddie railroad

  • This is pretty much my favorite ride in st louis! Love it! It's fun to be on and not overly exciting.

  • tht ride is pretty kewl esp. if your in the front!!!

  • wtf is up with the last chain lift lol. u gain an extra 4 feet but the drop after the lift was 4 feet. stupid.

  • cool ride ive been on it
