Jaedong was in total control the whole game. So much in fact that the match was entirely one-sided. Terran did not win one significant battle - from the early zergling pressure, muta harass, and fending off M&M combo until defilers arrived - flawless zerg play. Textbook use of swarm and plague.

The only thing missing is queen's ensnare, but that's a blunder of all pro zergs. And I just loved when the mutas, not seen after early harass, popped in mid-game to snipe 5 science vessels. Brilliant.

Seriously, Starcraft 2 looks soooooo boring compared to this. This may be because those SC1 pros are waaaaaaay better than the SC2 pros of today (and sure they are), or just because SC1 is the better, more entertaining game where you dont have that stupid 2 big army-balls collaps with a huge 1-A(ttack) move >_>. C'mon Jaedong, Stork, Bisu, Flash, just show those SC2 kid how use controll groups properly! Damn i wanna see them playing SC2 just to know which is more entertaining!!

Atm only Koreans are able to transfer their skills from BW to sc2 - watch for example the NASL s1 finals Mc vs. Puma - its almost as fascinating and exciting as the Bw games. Unfortunatley most of the Europeans and especially the Americans suck by comparison ...

sc2 is nothing compared to brood war, maybe in 5 years it'll be as good, but nobody has reached their full potential yet. Some of the matches are broken in my opinion though, TvT is by far the most brood war like match up, when it comes to economy and controlling the map at least

Oh my god JD nearly made my heart stop during that attack in his natural.

Terrans squad play is really intimidating. I can still remember when  JD always opted to deny terrans third and starve them out on 2 base. Today, 3 base or even 4 base terran is a common thing...and so hard to stop...

I also feel that the Ultralisk transition leaves zerg very vulnerable; Baby almost had him. Its almost as bad as carrier transition except the fact that zergs have dark swarm.

Lol @ zerg OP, when every drop you try gets scourged before any damage is done it's hard to win. It's easier to get a drop in than it is to notice them all and stop them. Jaedong won because he was godlike, not because of any OPness.

Also everybody knows Terran is the easiest race in BW

Also, saying one matchup favors one race rather than another is pure foolishness, the win % of a race has been primarily determined by the current metagame as well as the map pool. Sometimes terran dominate, other times zerg do.

half a dozen vultures wouldve made a huge difference in this game. Baby is fun to watch - i think he has the game sense and multitasking and solid micro/macro chops to be an S class player but he just makes some tactical mistakes that i think more experience will hone. Obviously Jaedong is still a beast.

Then the nydus canal went down, so JD couldn't reinforce easily, that's why the commentators went crazy. It's only because it was The Dong that he didn't die right then and there.
