  • Ok, so i put mixed deck on the table, and i allways pull 1 random card or just from the top, it doesnt matter, i put it away, then i take next and if it is same colour, i put it into 1 line, like 1234..s next line will be 123456..d , 12..h.. right? :D

  • Just pull the random card from the top. Do not concern yourself with arranging them. Simply stack them carefully, neatly. Have no care about the card face or number. Concern yourself only with the experience of conducting the technique, guiding yourself by effort of will, dismissing any temptation to engage in self-chatter, and holding your attention to the task while in a relaxed but alert state of mind. The important thing here is the LESSON you learn about SELF-CONTROL and SELF-DIRECTION

  • Rad - Mix the deck before doing the exercise so that you do NOT have 4 of the same in a row. When you begin, just set them on top of one another as you pull them from the deck. When you reach the end of the deck, pick it up and start again. The point is to do such a boring task in defiance of your body's impulses and your mind's thirst for something more exciting. When you can defy such internal forces, you can get yourself to do what must be done - those things you don't usually want to do.

  • What do you do at the end of the deck? Wouldn't you be breaking concentration by lifting the deck and starting over? Thank you for this technique.

  • There is no reason for you to allow your state of mental concentration to break as you get to the end of the deck and reshuffle to start over. In fact, it is an OPPORTUNITY that you should take advantage of. A person who has a well-developed power of concentration can execute any action in a state of absolute controlled attention - a cognitive habit which brings phenomenal rewards. So, when you reach the end of the deck, resolve to hold concentration through the reshuffling process.
