It is always amazing to me that the technology of the old aircraft still works, after all these years. I am looking forward to taking a ride in this plane when it comes to Kansas City (Lee's Summit Airport) on Sept. 10.
@apparition2 It was a remarkably short takeoff roll, but that is characteristic of the Tri-Motor. The airplane actually has no flaps; just a huge wing. It does handle quite heavy and sluggishly. The flight control responses are described as somewhat unpredictable and even a bit unstable.
