  • There was a huge waterfall display at the 1904 St Louis World's Fair called "The Cascades". Joplin was impressed and wrote this rag.

  • This the best intrepretation I've heard...very faithful to the original tempo and pedal work

  • Nice Job. This is one of Joplins finest rags. Very majestic. You played it well. Written for the St Louis fair in the early 1900s.

  • Thanks for uploading, I like it a lot.

  • gerrard is so good :D

    as well as the song

  • i love that part at 0:50

    steven gerrard

  • Yeah I loooove that part! Very cute.

  • @doodli2000 that transition into that part was probably the hardest part for me in this song.

  • I am not the one playing--this is an instruction track, played by Valery Lloyd Watts.

  • @the1pianofanatic this sounds a lot like the recording of dick hyman playing this song. He plays it faster though (Dick Hyman) lol sorry, it's a funny name.

  • @TrancerB7 dick hyman is a very funny name xD

  • you could have made this more interesting... but its good.
