Not sure if it cycles, but I saw your other video it sure ejects pretty well. Is it safe to fire that brass through a barrel? I'd rather go with frangible but this cartridge looks pretty good =]
i own a Glock 20 and a H&K Mark 23 excellent pistols without a doubt. but the 1911s is one of, if not the best looking auto pistol out there. not to mention that most of them will perform equal or exceed many of the modern designs.... i like my 1911 as much if not more than my newer design pistols.
well it's not exactly a 1911... it's based on it but it fires the 10mm as opposed to the .45ACP and... was not designed 1911. However I agree HKs do kick ass.
Own a couple of 10s. Delta Gold Cup Match and a Glock 20. Load the 10s at home and manage to get close to a 41 Mag. Power leels exceeding factory 41 Mag loadings. 10mm are awsome when loaded to original power levels.
Yup, over distance, but not over short distances where the .45 retains it's higher kinetic energy, the 10mm does too but it's not as heavy of a bullet as the .45.
i do preger the 10mm :) it's not an overpenetrator it's a FUCKER UPPER lol
higher kinetic energy? a 9mm has more kinetic energy then a 45, and a 40 usually has more kinetic energy then a 9mm, and the 10mm is a 40 with more case and powder, so the 45 isn't even close on energy!
Nice!!But I'll stick with the Sig 229 in 357sig 5in bar-sto 125grGoldDotDT@1625fps or 60RBCD@2620fps same stopping power,same accritcy"sorry can't spell" smaller package,and way better built,fine balince,and grip.Long Live Texas !!!Long Live Sig 229!!
Sig makes a fine product and the .357sig is a good, flat shooting, hard hitting round alright but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you've never tried any 10mm though. Get your hands on a 10mm and some ammo and prepare to see the 10mm light my friend. A Glock 20C will do quite nicely if you can get one to try. I once was like you and believed in... other rounds. .45acp, .40S&W, 9mm(lol),.357Sig; they are all but shadows my friend, the 10mm is the sun.
The 1911 was meant to fire solid ball ammunition. Inside the reciever is a little switch that the empty magazine hits to initialize the bolt lockback action. Using these large hollow-point rounds can hit that little knob, locking the bolt back when there are still rounds in the magazine. Bad thing to happen if you really need to continue shooting.
does the brass still have enough mass to go any distance and still maintain acceptable velocity?

nice hollow tips never seen so big ones what brand are they??

brand? Is my own design. Home made
tagger2000 3 years ago
1911? get with the times dude. You need H&K, Glock or Beretta, not something designed in the dark ages, polymer is the future!! peace
dmanwhocan 3 years ago
Polymer has its place, but the 1911 just cant be beat. Its the best looking, and performs up there with the best polymers.

do 10mm have more gun powder than a 9mm?
BUMFUCKKREW 4 years ago
10mm's are about twice as powerful as a 9mm, around the power of a 357 magnum
besusg 4 years ago
Actually it is about the equivelent of the .41 Magnum. Pretty cool huh?

10mm is for serious ass-whoopin' only. A 9mm would fit completely inside a 10mm cartridge.
