  • This is actually one of the best videos I seen regarding solving the centers for the 5x5. Thanx!

  • this video brings back memories, the video that tought me how to do centers :)

  • Good Teaching , Thanks

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZ 0_o u need new stickers damn it

  • Men nice video it helped me a lot! thanx

  • wat happened to the yellow on ur cube?

  • he does what i do take the stickers off of yellow

  • you're an idiot only the yellow is gone how hard is it to think black=yellow. dumbass

  • haha i thought you'd just be a mumbling idiot who wouldnt explain anything....but wow what a tutorial! it's great. =)

  • and rubicubed is right, you NEED an eastsheen!!! they don't pop and the stickers are better and it's based on the 3x3x3 structure.

  • Yer pretty bright, i must admit. I wasn't sure about your methods at the beginning, but then i started to see that you really know what you,re talkin about. way to go.

  • man you need some new stickers, actually you need an eastsheen

  • yup

  • what's so great about eastsheen? is that like a good cube brand or something?

  • yeah, they have good stickers

  • when will you post on how to do edges

  • slow down dude

  • good vidz

  • @_@ ug..... thanks though, it was pretty helpful actually.

  • i can solve 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4.. and it is very easy when you already knew the basics of it.... and now my nxt project is the 5x5 and the 6x6..

  • 6x6?

  • i olready solve 5x5 it was a relief after i sove it... there's no6x6 available here yet.... but if ever there is that would b my nxy project...

  • Actually, there is a 6x6 and above, but they're not made by the Rubik's company so you have to special order it. Try Googling it or something.

  • a bit like 4x4x4 huh?? i have problem with 4x4x4...u know after u finish all the sides...and u can start doing in the 3x3x3 form..and then i got confuse by this parity thing...it will be great if u can help me

  • Parity only occurs on even number cubes, although odds have stuff similar to parity. An example would be on 4^3 if an edge pair is oriented wrong and everything else is solved, use r2 B2 U2 l U2 ri U2 r U2 F2 r F2 li B2 r2. If two corners are swapped, use r2 U2 r2 Uu2 r2 u2(won't solve, but make solvable), if the corners can't orient correctly, use r2 F2 B2 r2. For 2^3 all you

  • thanks man....

  • get is 2 corners swapped, which you can fix using U. 5^3 can have 2 edges oriented wrong with the 1 between them oriented right(similar to parity). Same as 4^3. 3^3 can have 2-4 corners oriented wrong(which isn't parity), but if you know how to solve a 3^3, you know what to do. 1^3 has the most parity(the only odd cube that has parity). This is continued from last post.

  • there's a waaaayyy easier method (but slower), I'll post it later when I get a 5x5x5

    1)solve oen side

    2)get half of the edges

3)solve the across edges on the top face

4)orient all edge pieces of the top face

    5)permute top face

    6)permute remaining edges (4th layer)

    7)place all across centres

8)place remaining pieces (diagnol centres are left)

  • thankyou. well done.

  • hey did you ever make the video on the edges?

i just got the 5x5 but i cant really use it til friday cas my parents

but your video helped me understand the center part

    so yeah thanks

  • I recommend using a mirror by the camera for these demos.

For the 3rd center you said "flip it to the side"... flipping it to the other side would have been smarter.

Also I don't like the wording "flip it". I would say "turn it". "Flip" tends to be a term reserved for describing edge orientation.

  • really? your a freakin person who goes around and corrects what people say? wow. i think that your the first one to be very weird, DougCube! NERD!!!

  • For the 3rd center, the blue one, that pattern of

    bbx

    xbx

    bxx

is actaully a fast one to do, and there was a way to do that in a lot less turns. Instead of tring to match 2 and 2 for the 4, you could have swung the lone +center in front into it to create a nice

    bbx

    bbx

    xxb

pattern, which then gives you fewer turns for adding more.

  • You could have done something a tad more efficent for the 1st center. For the 2nd center, when you form 3 pieces of the last row, it's advantagous to do so using up to 2 face turns and then some slicing, instead of faceturn-slice-faceturn-slice.

  • "'center edge' I think it's called", we just call them '+centers' and the others 'x-center'.

You might want to get your yellow stickers replaced, $1.25 for a full set of 125 stickers on Cubesmith.

  • can someone reply me plz. where can you get 5x5? its so hard to find!

  • You can buy it on Ebay. I bought a set of 2x2, 4x4 & 5x5 from a guy named huskyomega and I really like them. The cubes are from Eastsheen, spin very well, and a lot better than the ones from Rubik's. His website is: "myworld dot ebay dot com slash huskyomega" Good luck.

  • How do u make ur 5x5 move so fast and slick?

How can i make my 5x5 move so fast and slick?

Any websites, personal preferences, etc. will be very welcome, plz comment back

  • this is frank morris right?

  • no its not sorry

  • first tutorial that actually helped

    gj!

  • LOVED the easy to follow presentation. Thanks for demystifying it!

  • So This Is Almost Exactly like the Centers For the 4 x 4 Right ??

  • zzz you have such a borrring voice....good tutorial tho

  • frank morris is awsome, i think this is him

  • This an excellent tutorial for solving the 5 by 5 centers. It was very big help to me.

  • couldnt you just solve the inside like a 3x3x3 and ignore the last row

  • what brand 5x5 should i get?

    what do you have?

  • eastsheen

  • kool!, hey dude can u plz put more vids up to complete the cube?! i really need a tutor :D thanks!

  • hey thanks for the tut, it actually helped

  • What kind is that?

  • Nice vid :)

    I got one question though.

    I have a rubik's 5x5x5, it's hard to move.

    What kind is that?

I'm pretty sure it's not Eastsheen

  • hi,you probably have a rubik's brand 5x5

  • yea mine is hard to move too. i can barely move it

  • you fellas should buy some CRC silicone from the auto section of walmart, then open the cube a little by a misaligned turn and spray it in. then turn the hell out of your cube and it'll be loose as all hell :-)

  • just use it for a lot and it will break in and it'll be ez to move
