There are Aramaic Scritptures called Targums and I have a Bible translated from Aramaic. Aramaic is spoken in 2 villages in Syria and I have visited them.

Islam has a consideration of Men-Women relationships that belongs to ancient times and does not (and should not) match reality any more. Women do not need to protect themselves under a scarf, because we are not animals and even if they represent a "temptation",men should be responsible enough to contain themselves(and vice versa). This simplist way of seeing things as what you give or you don't give to men is giving men too much importance,no?It seems women have the only purpose of serving them.

Please remember another thing. Eadith's are not always completely accurate. If a hadith contradicts the Quran it is ignored. Also if it comes from a weak source, such as one person or perhaps someone that was once accused of dishonesty than it also should be ignored. We believe the Quran is the only incorruptible source of Islam so we should not base our faith on hadiths.

Islam...just like Christianity and every other religion in the world is not practiced accurately by all of its followers. Hadiths would be comparable to the sayings of Jesus...some are accurate and some are not but you cant base your faith on them alone. If i say Jesus said something and it conflicts with his established teachings and overall philosophy than you would ignore what i said based on logical reasoning.

If those women were treated unfairly it wasnt because of Islam but because of an incorrect interpretation of Islam. I must admit that happens often these days but it is a mistake to judge Islam by that. Along with the Quran we have the Prophet Muhammad's example. He never beat or mistreated any woman so therefore if anyone does so they are not following Islam. No religion should be judged by the actions of some of its followers.

First, What are your sources? Secondly, in regards to the second accusation, do you know what the circumstances were that warranted that beating assuming its true? Was she a criminal, murderer, spy, etc? The things that you hear about Islam are usually taken out of context or twisted. You also fail to mention that a jewish tribe that swore to be allies with the Muslims tried to back stab them by joining the enemy during a time of war. You accept any and all hadiths that you believe portray a negative characteristic of the Prophet but yet you label those same sources "liars" when their hadiths refer to a positive attribute (miracles, kindness, mercy,etc....etc). What we should all seek is the truth. We are narrow mided creatures and as such must have an open mind about any situation. Dont jump to conclusions so quick. Research the facts and attempt to look at a scenario from more than one angle.

There are Aramaic Scritptures called Targums and I have a Bible translated from Aramaic. Aramaic is spoken in 2 villages in Syria and I have visited them.

I believe the Aramaic bible you are referring to was translated back from Latin so it really isnt the original Aramaic bible but one based on latin. Also the original Targums were written in Hebrew so much of the reading has been diluted.

It isn't..........you are confusing that with the Vulgate. I have a Syriac(Aramaic) lexicon. Ma'ula welcomes Aramaic scholars from all over the world. The priest there could sell snow to the Eskimos as there never was a more enthusiastic seller of tapes of himself saying the Paternoster and locals singing hymns in Aramaic.

The villages you refer to speak a form of Aramaic not the same one spoken ages ago. Just like Hebrew, the dialect spoken thousands of years ago is vastly different from the one spoken today to the point that some scholars dont even refer to todays version as hebrew.

I cannot speak about the Aramaic but the Hebrew is exactly the same as the Hebrew spoken 2000 years ago. there are 2 accents mainly on word ending in "ess" instead "ett". How else did the Israelis manage to revive a language that was only spoken in the synagogues and homes at religious festivals? Of course they had to invent new words for things like towels and the made a word from "negev" which means dry desert. I can assure you that scholars say Hebrew they mean Hebrew.

I've read numerous research article stating otherwise and also asked a jewish friend of mine and she states that the Hebrew spoken in her home is today is vastly different from the scriptures written centuries ago to the extent that she is unable to read and understand the text.

The original language of Jesus is Aramaic..thats a fact. There are no original Bibles laying around. They are all based on Latin translations that were later translated to Aramaic but after most of the words have already been changed. The bible as it was two mellenia ago does not exist. For that matter i have a hard time believing the Bible from thirty years ago exists in the same form.

Anyone can figure out that a woman whose whole tribe was killed including her father and her husband would not willingly leap into bed with the man who was responsible. There is even a Hadith describing a man who walked all night around Mohammad's tent as he raped this woman. He was afraid that she would kill Mohammad as he had killed all her people.
