F1 has a long history with road courses and great drivers and worldwide popularity and stability

NASCAR is the "baby" sport, and wasn't really popular until the mid-80's. NASCAR races mostly on ovals (and at 1 point a circle) while F1 races as I said, only on road courses. F1, though, has lost around 40% of its viewers since 2003 because of the recent domonince of Vettel, Hamilton, Schumacher, Rakoinen, and Alonso. NASCAR has lost only 10%.

F1 takes technological expertise and fine line precision, WRC is the only one of the three these days that really still has a "most balls wins" attitude, which does stem from natural driving feel i agree

@joesetra No it's not as simple as that. F1 is not just fancy tech, it's a combination of the best drivers in the world. IN THE WORLD, and the fastest race cars on the planet. NASCAR may have big engines, but it's not hard to put down 800 bhp when you're already going 300 kph. F1=skill, NASCAR=Fucking huge awesome crashes.

If you want a good racing series to watch, watch V8 supercars. One of the best touring car series in the world!

NASCAR pit stops are that long because a) they change the right side and left side wheels separately, not all 4 at once and b) they have more wheel nuts, not just the one.

But yeah, people need to stop arguing about which one is better. It's personal preference and most motor sport fans can appreciate all forms of motor sport. Sure I prefer F1, but I still find NASCAR's 3 wide racing entertaining. Just because its different doesn't mean it's bad.
