Yes this game is playable online and also the online is free no the singleplayer one. I think. FEAR Combat is the online one so have fun his graphic are awesome gameplay too.

ive got this game today and it is undoubtidly good, however just not scarey, FEAR 1 and its 2 expansions where close to just plain evil and merciless with its scareiness, but FEAR 2 is just alot more combat focused with not that many ghost sightings, its got a whole new feel that while still enjoyable isnt that screepy and eerie, i dont get that sense of security getting suddenly interupted by loud screaming or random terrain changes that scare the crap out of you, get the first 3 games youl see
