@horrorguy98 I watched every episode, like I said I just think people exaggerate on how bad it got, sure it's not as good but the voice actors just accepted a 50% pay cut because they are dedicated! I also thought the movie was great and that was actually from the 90s writers, sure the new writers suck but I don't think this show needs to be cancelled yet! some of the new ones I really like!

i agree. the old episodes in the 90s are awesome but since 2000 onwards their just terrible, just like most tv today. i think tv has been infected after the year 2000, mainly because of overrated celebrities and the simpsons did sell out with advertisments. spider pig was completely lame. i think of the classic simpsons in the 90s. i dont know what the fuck it is now, and in the uk they are completely dedicated to sky which unless you got overpriced sky tv you cant watch. i hope they axe the shw

Ya dude I was a huge fan of the simpsons and ya King of the hill was an awesome show in my eyes and still is........Fox lineup back in the day on sundays use to be so good..You had king of the hill, Malcom in the middle,the simpsons and ya even futurama at one point,That was a killer lineup, And it was so competetive that futurama got canned cause it wasnt having the expected 15 millon viewers that fox set the minimum bar limits to, anywz bro nice to talk to u :-)
Ya I agree with u a 100%, but here's my theory on that view...In 1999 it was at it's peak but after that for me from 2000/2004 it started to get weak interms of writting but for me it was still tolerable cause they were still making maybe 5to7 amazing funny episodes a season which I forgive the shows writters for... now fast forward to 2005 when I saw the shitty treehouse of horror episode,I than said to myself the show is now finished and has lost its edge with my age demographics

I think round about 10, 11 it got too hyper-topical and tried to cram a celebrity into every episode and just started making stupid visual gags instead of funny ones. Yep, back than there were some many good shows :-), Nickelodeon was in its prime, Disney was making some of the greatest cartoons/Movies everything was better back in the 90s / early 2000s, its a pitty what this generation considers good :-)

simpsons used to be iconic-now it's just obnoxious and needs to go away. The writing is ungodly. It's just running on burrowed time now. The voices won't ever say anything-they get payed up to yinyang anyhow.
It's because they've turned a strong character like Homer: relatable flawed father, but still decent despite being dim. Into basically an inconsistent characterless asshole, and a poor man's Peter Griffin. The stories have changed from strong consistent stories, to pointless shots of Homer doing something stupid referencing embarrassingly old pop culture. And don't get me started on the take character x and make them stay with the simpsons for an episode.

Yep, it's a sinking ship, what they need are new writters with a fresh mindset, the simpsons now have lost there edge interms of what my generation which includes u find funny and instead of building on the classic simpsons episodes from the 90s and making it better and funier there destroying there once superior product brick by brick.my goal here is to let anyone and everyone know about this and challenge me but so far no one has stepped up to the plate cause they no im rite :-)
i dont remember the very few, newer episodes ive watched, but i can definitely say this, your totally right about the movie, dreadful movie. and whenever an episode features a random celebrity in it, its always bad, astoudingly bad. overall id say simpsons can be either good and entertaining (older episodes ive seen) or absolutely awful. if i see any new episodes i will tell you what i thought of it. but i really dont care much in general for tv programs.

Yeah new simpsons are terrible, theres no doubt about it. Everything goes that way in the end I guess after being on T.V for years. Actually I have to give credit to south park on that one. They are the only show I can think of off hand that did not go down hill as the years went by...
Yep...South park is truly the best of the Big 3 but with that being said I have higher expectations from south park interms of produce amazing episodes,So far in season 15 I only found "THE Human Centipede episode" and the "City Sushi Episode to be LMFAO funny, the rest of the episodes of season 15 south park were in my opinion pretty mediocre/average at best but season 15 isnt done yet so Im gonna keep my mouth shut and not criticize it b4 the seasons over Hopefully they get better
@horrorguy98 Really? In my opinion "the HUMANCENTiPAD" Is one of the worst South Park episodes ever. The story arc reached its climax before half time and then they spent the rest of the episode repeating old jokes while trying to suck up as much time as possible. There was no second climax in the end, they just ended it
That episode was a premature ejaculation, followed by a pathetic attempt to keep going.
You have to keep in mind that south-park is a 20 minute show and for them to do what your saying than they would have ultimately have to make that a 2 part episode which might have ended up looking dull and boring .... I found that episode funny because to me it had some extremely funny moments lol I meen common cartman getting smitted by god lol, the hilarious parody of the "human centipede movie" ,lol the Apple genious , cartmans halirous quit " f-in him quote"....I can go on :-)
@horrorguy98 No, they wouldn't have had to make a two parter. For the majority of the episode they were repeating the same jokes over and over again in a struggle to fill out the full 20 minutes.
When they introduced Dr.Phil i thought they were going to make a joke involving him, but nope. We got the "you fucked me" joke for a fifth time.
The scene with "the geniuses" was repeated 3 times! Not the joke, the WHOLE DAMN SCENE!
Cartman saying "you fucked me" was one of the most funniest part of the show, thewriters intentionally made Cartman overuse that line cause it was funny.That line is the equivalent to Cartmans signature "THE FUCK " line which was used throughout the "fatbeard episode", The apple geniuses was funny but was overused I agree with you, but kyle's interactions with the prisnors was freaking halirious, Cartman's bitching was funny, Kyle's dads reaction to son getting kidnaped was funny..
@horrorguy98 My problem is not that the jokes were repeated, my problem is that joke repetition was the ONLY thing they did for a huge section of the episode. Even when common sense dictated that they should have made a new joke involving Dr.Phil they chose to repeat an old joke.
It is the first time i have ever seen such horrible story structure in South Park.

I would say that the Simpsons was ruined long before the movie's theatrical release. If they released the movie back in early 2000's ...let say maybe 2002 , it would have definitely made twice as much money as they did back in 2007 because back then the writers had a fresh mindset and James L Brooks and Matt Groening were at there peak in terms of creativity and good original writing material
@horrorguy98 I think John Swartzwelder was the best writer int he Simpsons adn then there was David Mirkin,Conan O' Brian,Mike Scully etc. But aside from the first episode Matt Groening didnt write any Simpsons Episode(and the Ullman Shorts) cuz he was the executive producer
I agree with you completely but all I was trying to say in my earlier comment was that Matt Groening and James L brooks were like good filters for the show before meaning all good ideas and bad ideas use to go through them and they had the ultimate power in terms of what gets aired......but now they lost there edge in terms of whats funny and humerus for this generation......they need to hire more creative and passionate writers and work side by side with them like they did b4 :-)

It's because they've turned a strong character like Homer: relatable flawed father, but still decent despite being dim. Into basically an inconsistent characterless asshole, and a poor man's Peter Griffin. The stories have changed from strong consistent stories, to pointless shots of Homer doing something stupid referencing embarrassingly old pop culture. And don't get me started on the take character x and make them stay with the simpsons for an episode.

i dont remember the very few, newer episodes ive watched, but i can definitely say this, your totally right about the movie, dreadful movie. and whenever an episode features a random celebrity in it, its always bad, astoudingly bad. overall id say simpsons can be either good and entertaining (older episodes ive seen) or absolutely awful. if i see any new episodes i will tell you what i thought of it. but i really dont care much in general for tv programs.

The story arc reached its climax before half time and then they spent the rest of the episode repeating old jokes while trying to suck up as much time as possible. There was no second climax in the end, they just ended it
That episode was a premature ejaculation, followed by a pathetic attempt to keep going.

You have to keep in mind that south-park is a 20 minute show and for them to do what your saying than they would have ultimately have to make that a 2 part episode which might have ended up looking dull and boring .... When they introduced Dr.Phil i thought they were going to make a joke involving him, but nope. We got the "you fucked me" joke for a fifth time.
The scene with "the geniuses" was repeated 3 times! Not the joke, the WHOLE DAMN SCENE!

Cartman saying "you fucked me" was one of the most funniest part of the show, thewriters intentionally made Cartman overuse that line cause it was funny.That line is the equivalent to Cartmans signature "THE FUCK " line which was used throughout the "fatbeard episode", The apple geniuses was funny but was overused I agree with you, but kyle's interactions with the prisnors was freaking halirious, Cartman's bitching was funny, Kyle's dads reaction to son getting kidnaped was funny..

I can't tell how many times I have said "the new Simpsons suck" to my friends, who consider me a huge fan of the show. But that was until Season 12. I'm glad more and more people are telling this truth everyday on the Internet, but the new crappy Simpsons will remain there while they still have their now fucking retarded audience. Well done man.

I would say that the Simpsons was ruined long before the movie's theatrical release. If they released the movie back in early 2000's ...let say maybe 2002 , it would have definitely made twice as much money as they did back in 2007 because back then the writers had a fresh mindset and James L Brooks and Matt Groening were at there peak in terms of creativity and good original writing material

@horrorguy98 I think John Swartzwelder was the best writer int he Simpsons adn then there was David Mirkin,Conan O' Brian,Mike Scully etc. But aside from the first episode Matt Groening didnt write any Simpsons Episode(and the Ullman Shorts) cuz he was the executive producer

I agree with you completely but all I was trying to say in my earlier comment was that Matt Groening and James L brooks were like good filters for the show before meaning all good ideas and bad ideas use to go through them and they had the ultimate power in terms of what gets aired......but now they lost there edge in terms of whats funny and humerus for this generation......they need to hire more creative and passionate writers and work side by side with them like they did b4 :-)

@horrorguy98 Im thinking they just dont care anymore which is said.Though there is only one thing i disagree with you The Simpsons Movie didnt suck sure it wasnt great but it was decent though i do think its quite Overrated.And one thing i think they should go back to their old Animation Techniques thats what made the simpsons feel....well like the simpsons.

The Simpsons movie barely had 2 or maybe 3 good memorable jokes...I liked the plot but the fact was the script lacked humor... it failed to make me laugh like I wouldexpect it to cause they made the script more serious than it needed to be...they should take lessons from south park creators trey parker and matt stone cause I shit u not the south park movie was 100X funnier than the simpsons movie even though it only took the creators a yr to make oppose to 6 yrs it took for simpsons
