How do you spin on it? I just recently got a pole and can't for the life of me figure out how to spin on it.

@LilTriPrincess12 ..well usually when you see someone spinning around their pole, it isn't what it looks like. They are actually not spinning, but just holding on and/or doing a pose or move, while the pole itself spins. Some of the more expensive poles actually spin on ball bearings, that's the secret.

its actually not the best, it is aluminum non-polished (so it doesn't stick as good as brass or chrome or any polished pole) but it works as long as you're not to rough or heavy on it. I don't know what brand it is, but I bought it through Ebay for $99.00. You get what you pay for.

i got mine on line .... if I knew then what I know now, i would have gotten a better (but more expensive) pole. probably one that is brass or chrome (shiny) so that it sticks better.

came with practise i guess... but it doesnt take strength so much as it does take how you hold the pole using leverage a lot and just knowing the 'trick' to it

thanks for your reply, iv managed to work out the spins now on muy static pole, there is another move im having trouble with but i dont know the name its where you take one hand spin backwards then take your other arm and grab the pole then your body twists round the pole like a snake that one is real hard for me this is my 4th day now having a pole i didnt try too much yesterday as my legs are covered in bruses lol but the good thing is that im drinking protien lol you are a great mover x

i think i know which move you are talking about, however I don't know the name of the move either.... that move is very difficult if your pole either spins too much or not at all. if too much, then you can't get yourself infront of the pole to switch your grip. And a little bit of a tight spin of the pole helps you to get in front of it so that you can twist around and grip the pole with the grip you switch to..... i will post a vidoe of the move i beleve you are talking about.....

well a spinning pole helps for the spins, also avoid sing oil based creams or lotions before, I like to wash my hands with dawn to remove all the oils an slippery residues.

Isn't pole dancing great?......... I'm addicted even though it's hard work and painful.

Well done on the new moves, I spotted Bow and Arrow, Butterfly, Chopper, all difficult ones. Didn't spot Superman though. Try the vertical dance website for the names etc, I struggle to remember them and find it a good reference to remember what I can do etc.
