I need help people....I'm about 2 purchase an sc in about a week but i dunno weather 2 get a 300 or 400. If I get a 3, at some point i wanna do a 2jz gte swap. If i get a 4, I would probably get it supercharged in the near future.

Everybody who thinks a sc300 can`t follow a lambo, cmon. Before you say a car can`t take over another, be sure to know it`s horsepower. Some single cam civics with turbos would`ve smashed that lambo and thats a fact. SOHC d16 can do 700hp : bisimoto. Anyways nice vid, I always like to tuner cars beat some exotics or muscles.

The Soarer is a sleeper I have a 684 bhp one here in the UK , and yes the car is formidable, The lambo was beaten , its nothing to do with them not trying .The Soarer will pull and pull past 180mph. I have dragged my Soarer over a 2.5 mile straight with a 439 Ferrari and even though the 430 got away quick, I past him at 1.6 miles and left him as i passed 184 mph.

The Lexus was making more to the tune of 600rwhp, the Lambo in the mid 500hp range. They were pushing the car. I should know... I was in the passenger seat. They were genuinely surprised at the Lexus. We'd been having quite a but of car trouble prior, so no one expected it to run like that.

@jessicaburciagishot I actually did have a sneaky suspicion that, that was the case. I know I read in the stats for the SC that it was twin turbo and had upwards of 500HP. I know the Lambo has around 570HP bone stock. But all in all, I was SHOCKED that they even won the rally. I thought that they would have been DQ'ed for pulling their stupid stunts throughout the rally.

@jessicaburciagishot ...really..... OK the lambo is heavier (3637lb) and has 4wd much larger drive train loss. And that 570hp is what lambo says is at the crank. No one that has a 2jz is ever going to give you crank numbers their going to tell you what the car did at the dyno to the wheels. 500whp is something like 600chp. Plus look at the guy on the lefts face... he was clearly confused as to why the sc300 was pulling.

@jessicaburciagishot The car belongs to me, and I can tell you first hand that that's not the 1st Lambo that I've beaten in that car. Furthermore, the boost control was turned off and I detuned the car on the dyno (just before it left) to make even less HP than it normally does, yet it still beat that Lambo quite easily. As for TQ, I make more TQ than that Lambo too, so what's your point? 1/4 mile run would be pointless, as I have a 10sec car, and that Lambo would get crushed just as bad.

@jessicaburciagishot I like Lambos and i dont think they suck but a lexus sc300 comes with a NA version of a supra engine. it says it was twin turbo wich means that it was most likely a 1jz or 2jz engine. both have no problem putting down alot more than 570HP at the wheels on stock internals

@Nissannx2000svg - this is not entirely true, while the SC was sold under the soarer nameplate in japan, the SC was designed at the Calty Design Research Center in california. It's clear intention was to create a car for Lexus. If anything the mk3 soarer was a rebadged lexus. The chassis for this car was also used for the mk4 supra. All Lexus models have a toyota badged model in japan.

Combine that with the factory K&N air filter I put in there, I'm pushing 250 at the most, even with all the miles on it!
