Actually drivers were afraid it was serious because they saw him laying in the car for multiple laps. Trulli (the guy who touched Kubica) couldn't even drive anymore he felt so bad about the crash that he just crashed his car on the way out of the pit :p And then was the first at the hospital :)

Real racing? If by real racing you mean drving around circuits that rarely allow the driver to make a difference and by bringing out the safety car when the leader gets too far ahead then maybe it is "real". NASCAR is an entertainment show, its not real racing. If your car is not set up perfect in NASCAR there is pretty much nothing the driver can do about it. Its all about set up not driving skill.

For one thing, nascar goes to two Road courses each year. so they do turn right. But the main reason they race on ovals is b/c they have no assistance in the cars. F1 is pretty much a computer on wheels. Dont get me wrong. i love F1, high speed racing at its best. But i love Nascar for its side by side racing. I wont deny that it crazes money more then anything. But not all the drivers believe that.
