Love this movie. One of the things that makes it so funny to me is how much it actually looks and feels like a noir, and kudos to Peter Lorre for playing it so straight. And Lorre could do comedy, but it works so well that he's actually quite menacing here.

There are actually some funny moments in this film even though as an adult I find a lot of Hope's movie stuff tedious. You could do worse.
