Just watched this movie and I'm glad I didn't let this shitty review stop me. Such a beautiful/moving/thought-provoking movie. I completely disagree with every thing they said. I loved Benning's character, I felt their transformations, and saw plenty moments of happiness. It has 90% approval rating and they're giving it a negative review. Speaks for itself...
God, these people hate EVERY movie. I saw one time when they gave a negative review to something with over 90% approval rating. Not watching these reviews anymore...
LOL I was with this review until the woman ( I forgot her name) review host said that Precious had ebbs and flows to the film. Talk about a bunch of BS, that film was overstuffed with nothing more than one dark heavy, depressing scene after another. I'd like for her to point out the scenes that had levity to me. I bet she couldn't name one! Epic fail on the comparison front. A better comparison would have been the film Sideways.

Mother and Child was a great film. And better, the executive producer was Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Amores Perros, 21 Grams, BABEL, and Biutiful).
Naomi Watts and Annette Benning...fucking great actors.
