the biggest problem facing the whole coaching system is.....you only teach skills with positive reinforcement, you don't teach soccer/football IQ....you can search hundreds of youtube videos on yellow card, red card etc....most of the plays were the result of being low IQ, lack of smartness. it's quite alarming.

The first thing is that the parents need to kick the HELL back and not get so involved in the game. If these girls didn't have parents yelling about fouls, the girls wouldn't pay as much attention either. But since parents feel successful if their child's team is better than another child's team, rationale falls to the wayside.

Verdict: Girl in red gets a yellow, girl in maroon gets a red. Parents get the fuck off the field and let your kids play a game without you trying to feel good about it.

Actually folks if you look closely, just before the ball goes out of bounds, the girl in the red jersey swings her arm back, intentionally, and hits the other girl in the face. The other girl just hit her back. Both getting red cards in this situation is the correct call.

Both should get RED cards. The girl in the red jersey instigated the fight by backhanding the girl in the maroon jersey in the face. Maroon fought back and should get a red for that. Things shouldn't have gotten to that point though since the ref should have called a penalty on maroon for holding onto red's jersey. This is a great example of how letting things get too physical can sometimes quickly escalate into fights.

1) AR who wiggled flag (indicating foul or misconduct) will tell the referee that the girl in the dark green(?) jersey not only swore, she swung and struck an opposing player (WHO DID NOT RETALIATE )

2) Center referee will go over to player who punched and issue immediate red card for VIOLENT CONDUCT

So the girl in the dark colour is holding the red girl's shirt most of the way, when the ball goes out the red girl gives her a deserved smack in the face, and the dark girl swings for the back of the head. Red card for the dark coloured girl is easy, probably yellow card for the red girl; a red card seems harsh. Of course, the ref (or linesman) really needs to call the shirt hold before something like this happens.

Yeah it most definately should have been called before it escalated. However, I've played in a state cup game and let me tell you, that was the most intense game I've ever played in. I understand exactly where that's coming from because in a game that is all or nothing, you leave everything on the field. I'm actually surprised there aren't more fights at these games.

I understand that the girl in red was just trying to get the girl in purple off of her, but when she threw her elbow up and made contact with the face, that is when the red card comes in. And the girl in purple is pretty obvious. But on the girls defense, the referee should have whistled the foul of holding her jersey and it would have never happened.
