I´m really looking foward to this MMO, especially because it has an eastern developer from Korea. They have a totally different mindset to graphic design and always awesome animations with fighting game style combat mechanics. I have enough of the standard western `orcs, dwarves, elves and humans´ shit. It´s time for something fresh!

Can't decide which game I like better out of this and Blade and Soul. Blade and Soul is ALOT more versatile than this game in terms of platforming and gameplay, but the creator in B&S looks to be shit so far. Also though the move set in B&S is more fancy, I think I like the hit animations in TERA better. Just the fact that no matter how big the opponent is you can still knock them on their ass with a giant swing without killing them is just badass. Usually enemies just stand until they die.

Whenever I get this game heres how I want the set up for my team to be:

1. Guy whos like the leader and is a rowdy baddass type.

2. His rival who's a strong pretty boy that's kinda broody

3. A love interest for each of them

4. A mascot panda character

5. An ugly strong guy thats oddly compassionate

6. A cute loli girl that is always with the ugly guy (father daughter relationship)

The guild will be called "Every Anime That's Ever Been Made" lol

Look at when this video was posted, and look at the date today, its been 2 years lads, look further then your nose is long please.

Each race has 2 sexes except the baraka, customization is HUGE, bigger then in any game ive ever seen, there are about 15 hairstyles to choose from per race/sex, 20 different skin tones, 20 different hair colors, 20 different faces which each have about 5 to 20 customizable feutures like make-up, facial hair scars, eye color and tattoos, and facial grid sliders.

@lokiloni as far as I saw in videos and on the webpage, there are no different factions (it's called faction, not race :P in Aion there are 2 races: Human and Balaur... Asmodae, Elisea, Balaurea are 3 different FACTIONS)

it'll be more like Lineage... the developers of Tera are the original devs of Lineage after all...

as for the Video and the Char customication: I don't like it at all... there is hardly any level of "customization"... I hope they'll improve it... then I'll might try it...

In his time elves were nothing more than brownies or pixies thanks to Shakespeare. I don't play WoW, but I understand their male elves aren't Tolkien-like at all (big, brooding, ect). If you don't like the Tolkien idea of elves, feel free to create your own ideas, drawings, ect. I think what you're really complaining about is feminine masculinity, which is actually quite underrepresented (and maligned) in the West.

@EBTcraft15 I also wish to note that it's a bit odd to complain about male Elves being drawn as "feminine" or androgynous. That is how Elves have almost always been depicted. (Lets ignore Shakespeare and the confusion between elves/fairies!) In ancient times Elves were thought of as a divine race of beings, like gods or spirits. They also became associated with angels, who have also been thought of as both male and female, i.e androgynous. This is the Elves conceptual lineage.

Association doesn't mean they get the characteristics of the angels. Also they were described as being extremely beautiful not androginous (in the Norse mithology they phisically resemble humans but have immense beauty) and I have no problems with a bit of femininity in their character but this just too much.
