  • I'm 11 and I can comprehend this. I DESERVE A GOLD METAL!

  • second half of the song with 2 verses at the same time put my fuckin brain into a coma.

  • 480p xD

  • one m0:00 time

  • I paused for a second cuz I noticed he said "Its funny how you start smoking niggas and you start coughings.. WOW

  • "One kid said something really badd... He said I wasn't really black because I had a dad..." Damn...

  • Dude, your not not racist cause the Wire's in your Netflix queue

    XD

  • yo the ppl who dislikes this r just no ready for this type of music yet

  • I Swear I Can Relate To This Song And Im Only 15 Years Old... And I Constantly Feel This Song Was Written For Me... I Can Relate...

  • "My fear is dead, ambition drove the hearse." What an awesome quote.

  • I have a group of white friends I'm the only black guy there they're so awkward around me which is funny because when I'm with my black friends we have one white homie he's always the life of the party and we treat him like our brother.

  • I can relate to this song...god damn I love him.

  • I love Gambino because he doesn't rap about "fuck bitches, get money" he's more like "life's hard, and here's mine"

  • dope as fck...

  • HO-LY FUCK! Now my new fav rapper. The new old kanye- someone who can hold us down by telling our story :)

  • I took that jacket off third period...ellipsis. OMGOMGOMGGGGGG Now if that went over your head "..." Three periods like that are referred to as an Ellipsis. This is why they called me an Oreo.

  • Black Experience...like no other..incomparable! Settle racism consumes society like water consumes every living organism on this planet. Gambino lyrics speaks volumes! Hold us Down!!

  • is that Childish Gambino singing???? he sound super good!!!

  • Castle Walls- Casper Redd Feat. Devious Stylez

Please look this up i promise you wont be disapointed:)

  • I don't want "cool" people to listen to gambino. He might get "cool"

  • @cl785210 I'm the only one at my school who knows Childish Gambino. It's going to stay like that.

  • 77 both top comments have weird.....

  • ya such a fuckin laaaaame :P

  • is Childish Gambino the one singing chorus as well?

  • @tikomik05 Obviously...

  • @XxxDemiGodxxX1 i don't see how that's so obvious... but thanks for the answer

  • Why isnt Childish Gambino more famous?

He would be one of the few rappers i would listen to and be proud to tell people about.

  • @Lithium2600 you should listen to him and be proud to tell people about him now...

  • reminds me of what kanye used to rap about, the whole black experience

  • @osakafoojin yeah, he flows a bit like him on You See Me as well.

  • So good.

  • ...im in love

  • he makes me feel guilty for being white and loving him so so so much

  • Comment removed

  • @xosincerelytiff HAHA, insane. Their music style isn't even the same. The Weeknd doesn't even primarily rap, nor does Childish primarily sing.I mean, Childish Gambino is great and all, but The Weeknd's style is just really different that most music out there right now.

  • haah the fact there are ppl on here gettin into paragraph comments...only means this dude is DOPE

  • I honeslty think that the majority of people who are in the mainstream are "progressively minded" and "tolerant" and that by drudging up the differences is nothing more than a way for the perpetuation of those attitudes of victimhood. Hate me if you want, this is just one man's opnion.

  • @Dystopiansscreenname that makes since. But progressive because they want to make money mostly haha. Anyways Gambino is dope.

  • I've lived in a few places big cityies "you-blink-you-miss-it" small towns and I can attest that unfortunately racism does still exist. It's disgusting that there are still people that look at someone other than as a human being because of their melanin content. That said I honestly feel uncomfortable when rappers speak openly down on white people. My generations (your peers) aren't the one's who commited the atrocities against your forefathers.

  • ''we all look black to the cops''

    fuckin real

  • @theman7088 Thats not even what he said... he said "we all look the same to the cops"

  • "do i have to put pants on?"

oh god how does she know. o.o thats wierd

  • New Tupac

  • @theblackhansolo No. Not ever. Never say that again. Slap yourself. Hard.

  • if only he released this earlier, then we'd be listening to an actor/comedian/rapper/black spiderman

  • Just because someone disliked this song does not mean that they deserve death. You guys sound ridiculous

  • "White kids gets to wear whatever hat they want. When it comes to black kids, one size fits all." dude got skills!

  • @MrEddiearcade

Can you tell me what he means by that because i have no Idea

  • @crayonmastah basically, what he is saying is that black people still have less opportunities than whites. White people can do whatever they want no questions asked, but black people are still stereotyped. I can give you a bunch of examples, but you might not be interested....the bottom line is AMERICA still lacks equality.

  • There are four idiots! and 366 people with taste

  • Half of the fans of this don't understand what the hell he's even talking about. He's not talking to you, but it's ok if you like it. Just relax a bit.

  • if you dislike this song, you deserve a HIGH FIVE>>>> IN THE FACE>>>>> WITH A CHAIR

  • @asqwert2121 l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l <3 you

  • @asqwert2121 thats 6 people we gotta find!

  • If you disliked this video, you deserve to be held down... under water until your legs stop kicking. THIS SONG IS DOPE!!!!!

  • @Jabotism Yeah man its a good song we all love it but what the fuck honestly...? LOL TOO FAR MATE.

  • *Takes a napkin*

Start to wipe the off the red on the like bar

    "OH SHIT, THAT'S A DISLIKE."

    FUUUUUUUUU

  • @Kyriss7

To say Hopsin is trash is blasphemy, you better respect these heads who are doing everything in their power to bring actual music back and aren't filling the air waves with auto tune and bullshit. So you stfu and don't dare talk shit about the real artist out there, Hopsin, Kendrick Lamar, Gambino and Lupe are void from any flame war or whatever you wanna call it so you stop right now

  • @ObeyManny Blasphemy

  • @ObeyManny COULDNT AGREE MORE!!

  • "OK Computer - Radiohead" reference in here :)

  • The only problem in saying that James Franco is the white Donald Glover means that Donald Glover would stop. I don't want him to stop...

  • This song so moving to me that it nearly brings a tear to my eye. The line about kids being warriors needing sensei's strikes me deeply. Why are so many black american men failing their families, and why do we have an entire generation of black males lagged behind?

  • best song ever, seriously

  • "your not NOT racist cuz The Wire's in your Netflix que"

    -line of the year

  • we all look the same to the cops aint tht good enough #realshit

  • Yep, buying the album.

  • OMG this shit is SO TRUE. White people get to express their individuality without people making faces and looking down on you like your a fucking alien. It's seems that most black people are closed minded and are quick to judge you. But really it all comes down to ignorance. They just don't get it.. because they refuse to get it.

  • @tatlifelover now you're expressing racism, he isn't he's talking of rich people as the stereotypical white person is rich, and yes, most blacks are quick to judge, the hood kids, there is a difference between black and hood, as there is between rich and poor.

  • @FuckSloshy oh i agree i was a bit vague in my comment but my point was a lot of people in general and also a lot of black people (I'm black myself) act like being different and not being the BET version of a black person is taboo or just weird. That's all. No racism here.

  • I love songs with a message within them.....this song is the illest

  • This is my current favorite on CAMP.

  • that violinist goes harder than an erection

  • Yourr such a fukin lameeeeeee

  • the dislike bar is like a ninja its there you just can see it

  • check out my beats

  • I don't get the second top comment. .___.

  • @Guitar592 James Franco does evvvverrryyyytthhiiinnng and hes white. Donald Glover (childish Gambino) raps, acts, does stand up, skits, writes for 30 rock, so he does eeevvvvrerrryhting tooo

  • @triplesauce

Are u retarded wtf does going deeper have to do woth the damn loch ness monster its cookie because it means they wanted a soft cuddlie cookie monster but instead he gave em loch ness

  • to me best song on camp. MOST MEANINGFUL.

  • Remove Youtube's Dislike option. Give it to Facebook.

  • @Sh4nkles ahahahaahaha

  • he spitts good shit

  • @YamzieTheGr81

    I dont see it

  • this one kid said something that was really bad, he said I wasn't really black because I had a dad.

  • James Franco is the white Donald Glover

  • @MassInsomniac Donald Glover is the white Donald Glover

  • "Insert quote from song here for top comment"

  • Haha i will love the day when rap no longer has a race. As if, but at least i have a dream.

  • This is dope..check out Hopsin..he's and up and coming artist who makes dope relatable music too.

  • @gangstamind187

    Hopsin blows compared to CG.

Hopsin just blows in general, plus he's not really up and coming.

He's got like a million views on some of his videos.

  • @kyriss7 are you crazy? listen to his albums before u try to say hop sucks. songs like chris dolmeth, hot 16's he's versatile as fuck. and he's still up and coming, there's a shit ton of ppl that still don't know of him.

  • @kyriss7 no he doesn't..he got those millions of few in the last 5 months ...he's been doing his thing for a few years now, but he's finally getting recognized. Based on your comment I can tell you've never listened through and entire Hopsin album.

  • @gangstamind187 You just became my favorite person on the internet haha. As for @kyriss7 they're both phenomenal rappers with different messages. Hop wants that purity in music and people and Gambino wants racism to just die. A million views is nothing anymore.

  • @35WHODAT lol..thanks..my comment has a bunch of typos..just noticed.

  • "White kids get to wear whatever hat they want"

"When it comes to black kids one size fits all"

    ;_;

    So true it hurts.

  • white kids get to wear whateva hat they want, when it comes to black kids one size fits all..... #sotrue

  • 3 people are such fucking LAAAAAAAAMES

  • "This one kid said something that was really sad. He said I wasn't really black cause I had a dad. I think that's kinda sad cause mostly a lot of black kids think that they should agree with that." - so true.

  • One of my favorite songs on this album! I really hope more people discover that he's really talented as a rapper and actually raps about true shit. Everyone share this song or any song of CG to someone please

  • This song tells one hell of a story. This man needs to keep up the great work.

  • Ok not like its of any importance but the strings that come in the hook and the end of the song came from streets of rage. Lol from the beach level. Thought id point that at cuz i noticed but, yes of course the song is the shit. I feel like i underpaid for this album on itunes. I would pay $20 for this album.

  • @gunafella-Thanks a lot for answering my question. It makes perfect sense in the context of the song. I honestly didn't know why he named Tiger Woods specifically as I didn't know anything about Tiger Woods personal life aside from the infidelity thing. Didn't even know if he had kids or not. Thanks again! Childish is my favorite new blood in rap! :)

  • "Who was a Radiohead and ok'd then computers"

  • I'm not African American, I'm hispanic. I love his album, this is what hip-hop is truly about; forget the radio. This is music.

  • Aimin' for the throne, Jay and Ye said to watch that

They ask me what I'm doin', I say I'm stealin' rock back

    Nigga . . . . Tht's when I knew Gambino Murdered This Track :)

  • realest of the real right here

  • "Change everything that weve done so far......I dont mean making B-E-T T-E-R"

    FUCKING GENIUS!!!!

  • O.K., I love this guy and his lyrics are great, creative, fun and stand out. They are all easy enough to figure out but there's one part I don't get. maybe it's just going over my head but what does he mean by the "You could always Tiger Woods" line?

  • @blueandyellow1979 means even if you're a bad father you can still be there to provide financially.....then he says "or m.j" meaning you could be lucky to get a talented/successful child

    source: rapgeniusDOTcom/Childish-gambino-hold-you-down-lyrics

  • Thanks Donald for tellin our story... "Don't drink the whole bottle cause these smart middle class black kids need a role model". Wish we had more like you.

  • We all look the same to the cops ain't that good enough

  • WTF is that red shit on the like bar?

  • @YamzieTheGr81 The red portion of the like bar is called "PURE BITCH ASSNESS" my friend. LOL And watch my video called STFU for internet gangstas if you get a chance

  • @YamzieTheGr81 What red shit.

I SEE NO RED THINGS ON THAT BAR.

  • @YamzieTheGr81 dislikes

  • @YamzieTheGr81 haha it isn't there anymore, it's just green with a white tip

  • @YamzieTheGr81 tbh i think people who click the dislike button on most music videos are trolls, for something to have mostly red it has to be really bad. i mean like retarded bad and lately ive been seeing alot of stupidity on youtube. but so far not any music videos. this is definately not one of them.

  • @YamzieTheGr81 Nothing, I wiped it off.

  • sometimes i feel like his music is especially for mixed kids who don't know which role to play (aka me)

  • @CeeOfREALmusic That's why us mix kids do it all!

  • Weirdest feeling when you're an African-American male teenager who doesn't fit the stereotype and theirs a song out there that you can relate to... Childish Gambino is the realest out here for addressing this situation. CG

  • "We the baddest nigga" Gambino Goon for life.

  • @Knuckles1859 i feel you man it used to piss me of when kids called me white but after listening to his music doesnt bother me at all

  • You're Such A Fuckin LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME. LMAO best part xD

  • Yeah, these niggas wanted Cookie but instead I gave 'em Loch Ness

Sick Boi for life, my swag is in a hospice

Aimin' for the throne, Jay and Ye said to watch that

They ask me what I'm doin', I say I'm stealin' rock back...Nigga

  • @joshskatesgoofy he didnt say nothing bout a cookie. "Yeah these niggas wanna go deeper but insteadI gave em Loch Ness." What a cookie got to do with a Loch Ness monster Idiot LMAO

  • @TripleSauce

You watch South Park? Ever seen the "Three Fiddy" bit with Chef's parents? If the answer is no to either question, ok. If you have seen it though, shame on you.

    /watch?v=4qcbgclG4_A

  • HIS ALBUM IS JUST AMAZING.

    AMAZING.

  • You're such a fuckin' LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME,

  • @SoulfreshhPwns dude go somewhere u r lame!

  • He raps like kanye west and emminem combined

  • @BeatsOutDBricks hell yeah

  • Comment removed

  • They ask me what I'm doin' and I said I'm stealin' rock back. Nigga....goosebumps right there.

  • This is unbelievably good!

  • For all the black people who are mad for what he's saying about "the culture" and how he didn't fit it, that was his experience and others can def relate.

Plus don't let the majority of the comments fool you, CG isn't just blasting black people for some of the troubles he has had. It's clear in the song but not so much in the comments as it seems everyone is focusing on the black people that made fun of CG for not being hood.

  • This song gives me the fucking goosebumps..

  • James Franco will NEVER be the white Donald Glover...There now you can't stop. PLEASE do not stop making amazing music

  • AIMIN FOR THE THRONE, JAY AND YAY TOLD ME TO WATCH THAT. THEY ASK ME WHAT I'M DOIN AND I SAID I'M STEALIN ROCK BACK.

    DOPENESS!!!

  • On like every other song on this album, he raps about being black and then not being black enough. WTF, clearly this dude is insecure. If he was a "lame"; White, black, latino, whatever will make fun of somebody. Such a cop out to stereotype all blacks as people who didn't except him cuz he wasn;t hood. Naw he was a LAME.

  • @chicagomycity You seem to be a hater, why are you here? He didn't stereotype all blacks, this shit really happens to people and if you don't like real shit then maybe you should listen to someone else and shut the fuck up.

  • @DedyFresh (1) A hater, no this is actually a very well-produced album with fresh lyricism and some very witty punchlines. But listening all the way through with it oozez with so much INSECURITY, that it gets to the point where I almost feel sorry for him. Now I am not saying that his music should not be be a reflection of his life and feelings. Thats fine and a good thing. But listeing to this album there is something DEEPER going on with racial insecurites that gets in the way of me taking him

  • @chicagomycity What mess are you speaking? The stuff your saying doesn't even make sense.

  • @DedyFresh (2) seriously. I feel like I could be a HUGE fan of his after he gets some counseling. One minute he is saying he wants to speak to the "hood" next, he is talking about how he is a nerd, then how wish he wasn't and placing blaming on stereotypical cop outs. I am black and of course we have "ALL" had our experiences with our color. But you cannot let it consume you. After a while, you get to a certain level of maturity and you don't care what OTHERS think. But clearly he still does.

  • @DedyFresh (3) I mean its just personal opinion but one or two songs touching on such topics is interesting and introspective. Damn near the whole album.......something too heavy is going on in his head.

  • wow best song on camp, in my opinion, so different and true to his life.....and if your using rap genius then you know that they're THAT GOOD

  • C - childish

    A - and

    M - mothafuckin'

    P - proud

This is the truest shit spoken all year.

  • "took the jacket off, third period, ellipsis". Look up the word ellipsis. You didn't know what that meant. First rapper to use that word. This dude is a funny as hell stand-up comedian/good comedy screen writer/very good rapper/solid actor. Who else out there is as multi-talented and unknown as this guy? About as genius as it gets for an entertainer. You will be hearing his name.

  • This is real, one of my best friends is black, but he gets messed with everyday because he is the only black kid in the smart class. I don't think that is right, he is smart and a great friend.

    #Realest Song of 2011

  • "Its funny how you smoke niggas then you start coffins, All my people need throat lozenges" Double Entedre in that sick line....

  • this is staggering, in a society that privileges the fake and insincere, we have here a man willing to be honest, he can't help himself, calling everybody out for the subtly racist ways we interact that are completely stupid that we can't seem to get over because the wounds are still so deep, we like to think we've healed, but CG makes it pretty clear that the wounds have just shape-shifted. This is truly brilliant stuff.

  • Buying this album.

  • Gambino says the N word alot, so you take it in all the time and it's just part of his flow. But the way he said it at 3:25 is straight vicious. CAMP

  • To say I could relate to this song is an understatement. People don't know what its like to grow up an African American in this country and not fit the stereotype or have your own race put you down more then anyone else unless you been through it yourself. I agree with Janra2k6, realest song of 2011 by far.

  • @Knuckles1859 Yeah, it's tough but ME, I got over it. Gambino talks real.

  • @Knuckles1859 I couldn't agree with you more.

  • @Knuckles1859 I'm a white kid and i relate to this. CG just know's how to connect with people.
