I was looking on Wiki (yes some caution), but it stated that the game peaked soon afer release at 800,000 in Oct 2008 i think, but now has shrunk to 300,000... i guess it is not the game where any exodus from WoW will happen. Aion perhaps, but i have reservations.

I quitted WOW a month or two, or was it three??? before WAR came out.

AND DAAAMN, I did the best thing! NEVER liked the way I had to lvl in WOW, it was like a chore to do quests and all that.

In WAR you can choose to do what ever you like basicly. I love RVR battles. I cant tell you how much I regret to have played WOW. I hated the game because of many things, now I got WAR, and now I am feeling better :) I have always loved the Warhammer universe, so I am a biig biig fan!

It's true, but that was right after the release of WotLK. Many of my viewers that ran back to WoW for the expansion, saw all the new stuff to see, and are now going back to WAR.

Blizzard can't expect to keep it's subscriber base by giving them nothing, all the while collecting the production budget of THE DARK KNIGHT on a monthly basis. Eventually people will figure out they're getting ripped off and quit them for good.

If Mythic can fix a big bunch of major issues in the coming few months, a lot of people who have finished the WotLK content will probably pour to the WAR servers. I read somewhere that the pros will be done with the full WotLK content some time in January, so with this in mind I'm expecting WAR's population to grow very-very-very fast in the coming months. Especially with people getting disappointed with the changes made by WotLK and whatnot. That should/will probably fix the realm-pop. problem.

Also there are a lot of fundemental differences between the races in Warhammer and their equivelents in WoW. For one, WoW Orcs have a society built around stuff like strength and honer and stuff like like that. In Warhammer the Orks have no real society to speak of and are a lot more beastial. They're a lot simplier. They just want to hurt people, they don't really need reasons based on abstract concepts like loyalty. Wow orcs are a lot more cosmopolitan :D.

You can't ignore the fact that WoW is a good game and has been a great game for several years now. It offers pretty good PVE and decent PVP. Some things got way to casual with the expansion but still the quality of WoW is surperior in every way compared to fresh games like Age of Conan.

The first game Warcraft Orcs and Humans was originaly named Warhammer.

Thats why it looks alot like the Warhammer tabletop game. Blizzard tried to introduce new things to Warcraft series but they later got replaced by copys of Warhammer content.

The entire scourge/forsaken army in World of Warcraft is a perfect copy from Vampire Counts in Warhammer. So close even the artwork is the same. In WOTLK they are going to introduce the bone dragon from Warhammer.

Ahh are you in the beta at all? The entire way the game works is unique and refreshing. Like this guy said the only reason WOW became popular at all is because anyone and theyre grandmother can run the game. Warhammer has a ton of cool features and doesn't dissapoint.
