One of the great Chicago bluesmen ever. Whenever I saw him, I felt sorry for his guitar, the way he would 'tear it up'! Always intense, always great! I had a picture of him at a station I worked at, and when interviewing the great Kim Simmonds of Savory Brown, Mr. Simmonds walked into the studio, saw the picture and simplay and quietly said: "the 'great' Son Seals". That blew me away, and I will always remember that. Son Seals, the epitome of a bluesman! Time to play some more now.
When is this from? Man I miss being able to see him live - saw him a few times at the Jazzhaus in Lawrence Kansas back in the early 1980's. What great shows! Danced our asses off.
Amazing how living, playing, and recording in chicago all those years couldn't take the arkansas out of him. I love his music so much i drove from memphis to osceola just to be able to say i was there..
got to see a few times here in Dallas !!!
