  • One of the great Chicago bluesmen ever. Whenever I saw him, I felt sorry for his guitar, the way he would 'tear it up'! Always intense, always great! I had a picture of him at a station I worked at, and when interviewing the great Kim Simmonds of Savory Brown, Mr. Simmonds walked into the studio, saw the picture and simplay and quietly said: "the 'great' Son Seals". That blew me away, and I will always remember that. Son Seals, the epitome of a bluesman! Time to play some more now.

  • When is this from? Man I miss being able to see him live - saw him a few times at the Jazzhaus in Lawrence Kansas back in the early 1980's. What great shows! Danced our asses off.

    I have two so far, "Midnight Son" & "Son Seals Blues Ban" and both are awesome!

  • I had a chance to own 2 of his cars, a black mercedes 420 sel and a 1993 Fleetwood caddy, I sold the caddy and the mercedes is in my aunts garage.

  • Son was awesome. I got to know his horn player "Red" very cool!

  • I played with Son for his last few years, on the east coast, great musician, better man!!!! I miss him all the time.

    Amazing how living, playing, and recording in chicago all those years couldn't take the arkansas out of him. I love his music so much i drove from memphis to osceola just to be able to say i was there..
